I am loving the crisp basket-weave on this tote. Weaving leather strips together this way isn't all that unique, but the contrasting top-stitching adds a nice touch and gives the pattern even more dimension. 17" double handles with a 61/2 inch drop makes for a nice fit on your shoulder and the hinge-locked flap opening gives easy access to the interior. The bag is lined in pretty baby blue suede and includes the standard zip, patch and cell pockets as well as a key fob and two card holders. Minimal polished silver-tone hardware on the bag and protective feet finish things off and the end result is a very wearable everyday tote. $957.

I like almost all bags that are well constructed and are esthetically pleasant. This one I like too. To me a bag has to be beautiful but also functional when the situation calls for it. One of my favorite bags in the world is Fay Dorys by handbag designer Marcela Calvet. Of course I cannot afford it but it looks so gorgeous (alligator in case you are wondering). Well, I can dream of winning the lottery or marrying and uber-rich guy, right?
