Lindsay Lohan's Luxurious Utah Rehab

ET Online is reporting that Lindsay Lohan has entered rehab for the third time and this time the young starlet has not chosen Promises or any of the other Southern California rehabs. Instead, she is at the rustic Cirque Lodge drug and alcohol rehab in Sundance, Utah. The Cirque Lodge sounds more like some of the estates we have covered than a rehab. The Lodge has a log cabin look and can accommodate 16 residents. Rooms have access to a private bath including a Jacuzzi tub and shower and the bedrooms have fireplaces and views. The main room is a two-story great room with two fireplaces. There is also an exercise room, a media room, a cedar sauna and a circular meditation room on the third floor which is ideal for quiet contemplation. It is reported that Mary-Kate Olsen and David Hasselhoff have both spent time at Cirque and the rehab can cost upwards of $30,000.

Why is it that today young generration like Miss Lohan are having a hard time to ajust with the people around them.

I watched ET last night. They interviewed a "Jane P." who was discharged from the Lodge a few days ago. She commented that Ms Lohan received special treatment compared to the other patients. I hope this is incorrect because if it is, I would consider this place a very poor rehab. All those who attend rehabs may receive different therepuetic treatment depending on the nature and severity of their addiction. However special treatment like Ms Lohan being transported to a meeting in a private car while other patients took a bus is wrong. I believe that Jane P also stated that all the patietns were required to leave the common rooms and stay in their bedrooms while Ms Lohan was touring the facility.
If true this place doesn't have its head screwed on staight. A large part of addiction recovery is to receive support from fellow sufferers. Regardless of sex, race, religion, wealth or fame, all addicts are created equal. Further it is hardly a secret that Ms. Lohan has a problem. If this information is accurate, and I were a patient there, I'd be contacting my lawyer to seek a refund. I hope a Lodge spokesperson will clarify this.

I think somebody needs to bring the Hazelden treatment center to Ms. Lohans attention. It's
located in MN and is well known as an effective
program for the treatment of drug and alcohol
addiction.

Rustic rehab compound, my ass. Just another decoy her lawyers dreamed up to avoid her facing the law and being held responsible.
Enough is enough. Send her spoiled rotten, self centered butt, I need attention or I will do drugs and drink alcohol right to jail, period. No more stints to avoid jail time because she is white, rich and famous for nothing.
And better still, for her drug charge, because she claims she was just "holding." send her to were she belongs to begin with because it is against the law, period. Right to prison. A state correctional insitute. Where a number of others are there to begin with because they were caught with drugs on them. Drugs of course they claim was not their's to begin with. Just like her. She will be in good company.

I have visited a relative at Cirque Lodge. The rooms are FAR from being a luxury spot. In fact, they are quite yucky! The carpets are worn, I never saw jacuzzis in any of the rooms. Everyone there was treated the same when my nephew was there for rehab. And trust me, famous people were there. All in all, Cirque really does work with people, if the person is willing to make changes. So, maybe give all the people at Cirque a break. It is no vacation spot.

Where are the parents?? Partying with the stars, that's right. They aren't parents, but party buddies. The stars don't know any better. Shame on the parents.

Ok it is getting old to hear about celebs going in and out of rehab. But I hope for LL's sake that this time it will be the last. I have recently seen two of her teen movies and for a 24 year old to say it was worth watching and she was very convincing that's quite a compliment. as of thus now what going on with her life. For as they are being known as "H" to say EVRYTHING that was said for someone to take a moment out of their day to bash someone left and right someone they don't know that's pretty shitty dude. Your as bad as those "wannabe reporter" and whatever "special" treatment she is recieving or not from this facility, does not and SHOULD NOT pull up such a heated concern by Sally Feisell. There are going to be steps taken (special) treatment for her own safety and as well as others. Places like these don't want to be on the news because of whatever sorta situation came out of the fact that someone knows that LL's there and goes a bit too far. So my main comment is she trying it again like all the other celebs we hear about hopefully it's a good one.

If a person doesn't truly want recovery--it doesn't matter what the surroundings are. They are just wasting time and space. I hope Lindsay hears something while there that will make THE difference in her life.

It is such a shame that these gifted, blessed Hollywood diva's do not know enough to kiss the hand of G-d and understand the value of His gifts. Perhaps it is time for all that was given to be taken away and given to one much more worthy. For the Lindsays, the Britenys and Paris' of the world, I hope that everything you have now will vanish from beneath you within a year and all of you will walk a road of darkness and despair. I think it is only then that you will really understand what it was you were GIVEN.
kathryn Aug 11th 2007 10:56PM
rehab is a state of mind.......it doesn't matter if you are in a multi-million dollar house or the gutter. You have to want to come clean.
mom Aug 11th 2007 11:36PM
Who freakin cares anymore! Why do you people waste your time on wh*res like Lindsey Britt and Paris? They are all a HUGE waste of time. Pouty little spoiled rotten kids. If they're mothers were "mothers" to them they might actually know how to act. How can you feel sorry for people who insist on ruining their lives time and time again and making sure the whole world sees it?
Losers is all they are.

People just always talk, and talk without knowing of which they talk....
This place is run by Mormons'..and if you knew anything about them, you would know that they do not drink, smoke, drink coffee or even Coco..! They are truly some of the kindest and sweetest people I have ever met.
I pray Lindsay gets past her demonds. She earned her money, no one gave it to her, she was not born into it. Her parenting has not been great, but, she is now an adult, and I for one believe that she can learn to love herself, and that she is not just a "product" to be sold and used by others.
My heart really hurts for this young women who has just turned 21 in July.
We should all be praying for this talented young lady and not wishing her any harm ...and praying that she never hurts anyone due to her addictions.
Get well Lindsay...God has great plans for you, but first YOU gotta want it!!!
felicia Aug 12th 2007 12:28AM
and???? the point is????? ate we the public supposed to applaud her?
kathy mae Aug 12th 2007 12:41AM
WELL ON THE NEWS A WOMAN WENT TO JAIL FOR SMOKING POT WITH HER 16 YEAR OLD SON, BUT BECAUSE THIS IS LINDSAY LOHAN NOTHING HAPPENS TO HER MOM. AND WHAT ABOUT THESE CLUBS THAT LET THEM IN, WHY DON'T THEY GET TICKETED OR SHUT DOWN FOR A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TIME, THAT IS CALLED CONTRIBUTING TO A MINOR, AND ITS AGAINST THE LAW? LINDSAY NEEDS TO GROW UP AND REALIZE THAT SHE IS A ROLE MODEL OF A MILLION KIDS AROUND THE WORLD. UNLESS SHE REALLY WANTS TO GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS BEING A COKE HEADED TRAMP FOREVER?
Kat Aug 12th 2007 1:33AM
I think Lindsay is just like all the other celebs out there. Some misunderstood and others will just never change. Lindsay may have been in and out of rehabs and i believe she desierves to have the law enforced on her as any other person out there. But we dont fully understand what they go threw. And I dont think its fair to them either haveing there lifes posted every 10 seconds. Take in account her life. WE have problems just like her. Herself and other celebs go threw life just like we do. There are somethings though they should not get special treatment for but the fact is Lindsay is just like the rest of the world with the same emotions, & problems only hers is publicly known to the world thats the only difference.

When he was 20, my son did a wilderness program in Utah as part of his rehab. Forty days and nights in the wild, living by his wits with four other young men and a counselor. He also spent 3 of those days and nights alone with nothing but water to drink. It was difficult, but was probably the best thing that every happened to him. That was two years ago, and now he is in college, clean, and doing well.
But it worked because he was ready, and it was the right program for him. He had previous attempts at traditional rehab and none of them worked partly because he did it for others and not himself. He needed something extreme to get his life back on track, and he finally realized this. That is why he chose the wilderness program far away from his home in Texas. He knew he needed a very restrictive fool-proof drug-free envirnoment for an extended period of time.
These Hollywood kids are no different. They need to find the right program for them---and who is to say the right program isn't a place like Promises or the progam in Utah Lohan is in? It could be. As long as they are sincere and ready, it could work for them. The key ingrediant is that they have to really want to get clean. If they are just trying to avoid jail or please others, it won't do a bit of good.
Jordana Aug 12th 2007 1:45AM
It isn't going to work unless she wants to get clean and stay clean. If this is another luxury spa where they don't want to inconvenience rich people with Recovery, it won't work. The 12-Steps and Counseling and basic changes need to be emphasized, not put on the side, like something you can do If you feel like it.
No amount of pretty scenery, Jacuzzis, etc. will help Ms. Lohan or anyone else. It will just make the people who own these places richer.
Recovery Is hard work and if this is just another Spa...I think she'll end up relapsing. Recovery shouldn't be hell, but it's not supposed to be a day at the beach either. I wish her and anyone suffering from addiction well. I really hope she doesn't end up relapsing and killing herself or someone else in the process. Time to Get Serious.
Bill Aug 12th 2007 2:03AM
90 meetings in 90 days. That's a good way to get on the road to sobriety.
AcDoc Aug 12th 2007 2:23AM
Most of you don't understand addiction and rehab. The jacuzzis etc just make the detox more tolerable. It is still Hell. These days medications are used to help the suffering, which is physical and emotional. Imagine having a hangover that goes on and on, plus lots of anxiety and depression, then imagine you can never again in your life have chocolate. Right, now how "strong" are you? Jail doesn't make the cravings go away. Only understanding and support along with a no BS environment. 90 meetings in 90 days gives an indication of how hard this problem is.
And I'm not an addict but I learned about addiction and have treated it.
Mandated treatment, not jail.
CAnn Aug 12th 2007 2:26AM
Bill, for many serious addicts it takes a lot more than meetings. They, like my son, need to spend some time in a place where it is impossible to access drugs and alcohol. For my son, it had to be extreme. The wilderness. Out in the middle of nowhere in the mountains of Utah. Otherwise, he would have figured out a way to get his hands on something, anything to get him high.
Then, after 40 nights the wilderness, he was ready to live in a transitional center closer to home, a more typical rehabilition facility for a few months. As he earned trust, his environment became less restrictive, and he worked, went to school, and attended meetings.
Now he has been living and going to school on his own for a year in a college town a few hours drive from home. He comes home often on weekends, and the only friends he has left here are his true friends, not his druggie friends. He is a success story. Anyone can be a success story if they are willing..and find the treatment best for them.
