well, i'll prove the writer wrong and say i am in the middle on this one... although it's kinda futurishly cool-looking, it's also kinda like the kind of bags all the really girly girls in my grade would carry around and try to tell everyone how unique they are for buying it.

anyway, i'll also be in the middle on the spending money issue. i think it's absolutely ridiculous to spend this amount of money on a bag. ridiculous. (i have about 10 bags and have only bought one. it's much more fun knitting or sewing your own; at least then it is actually unique and fun.) i'm not saying all your spare money should go to charity. i have a chronic illness. it costs a lot of money to stay healthy. but i still like getting something nice once in a while. on the other hand, a bunch of people who will say it's okay to splurge if you earn the money are the kind of people who won't just splurge on this one purse- they'll buy expensive high-heels the next day, an insanely expensive sportscar after that, they'll shop at the stores in the mall that charge nearly $100 for a shirt that isn't even all that special.

that's all i'm trying to say. keep in mind that there are other people who could benefit greatly from some help, and try to find a balance between indulging yourself and going way overboard for something you really don't need. like this bag.
