Kate Spade Francis Satchel, Handbag of the Day

From Kate Spade's Sydney collection, the Francis satchel is a soft-shaped bag with subtle but gorgeous shine. The platinum metallic calfskin is white hot and the bag doesn't go overboard on the details. Decorative ties are threaded through engraved nickel and 14-karat light gold rings and an almost invisible logo plate decorates the front. Lined with the signature larabee dots, the bag measure 9 1/2" high by 16" wide by 6" deep. $625.

For a less blinding option may I suggest Tod's Manici Patchwork bag in silver. It's no way near as neon metallic as this lovely bag but is just as gorgeous. I picked one up for a family member recently and fell in love with it. If only they made a more male friendly version.
