So we all know models make a lot of money, but do you know just how much? And if you had to guess which one was making the most money right now who would you pick? I just love the lists Forbes comes up with, and here's another great one of the world's top earning models. Its list has a total of 15 of the wealthiest models, and I've included the top 10 here:
- Gisele Bundchen: $33 million
- Kate Moss: $9 million
- Heidi Klum: $8 million
- Adriana Lima: $6 million
- Allessandra Ambrosio: $6 million
- Carolyn Murphy: $5 million
- Natalia Vodianova: $4.5 million
- Karolina Kurkova: $3.5 million
- Daria Werbowy: $3.5 million

What is the deal with Gisele. She is sexy. However, she's definitely NOT worth that much more money than the others. There are other models who are down to earth and look better!!!

Why does someone has to wear barely anything and get paid that kind of money???? That is so not what the world wants to see...They are way overpaid...
dan Jul 23rd 2007 10:17AM
are these stupid high school dropouts worth that much? one would think they found a cure for cancer. this speaks for the values of this country!
tigercupid Jul 23rd 2007 10:39AM
Gisele makes money from her looks. However to further explain why she is so far ahead of the rest of the pack, you need to do more research. She has an incredible work ethic and juggles many more top dollar modelling contracts than her collegues.

UGH! I hate supermodels...they are always whining about how hard it is to be a model because it is so much more than a pretty face, but what does gisele bundchen have to complain about?
Brand Jul 23rd 2007 10:49AM
First of all...who said these women were high school dropouts? And second, these young ladies work hard at what they do, and who are you to say that they are overpaid. Maybe you're just underpaid. Have a good day!

I agree with the comment about the high school drop-outs. Education, education, education is pounded into our heads and we're told that is the only way to make big money... well, most of the big Hollywood stars and models are the least educated around. The bigger part of them are high school drop-outs that got very lucky. Then again, I also know several college educated people who are unemployed...

Well congrats to these ladies for making welath just for thier looks there is no point to hate just congraulate these women. If someone offered me millions to wear thier clothes or endorse thier products I would in a heartbeat.

We, the general public is paying for that. Like events such as baseball, football etc. we, the suckers are funding those overpaid players. If we don't patronize them, they will fade away.

Yea i agree w/ joe... gisele is very pretty and all but there are people who are so much prettier than her.. its ridiculous how's she gettin paid so so so much more than all these other models... they are way too overpaid.. plus they don't even need this money.. they don't donate to charity or any fund to support people they just go out and buy themselves another house or another 3 grand dog or like $500 dollar clothes.. they really don't have much use for all that money if they are gonna spend it on themselves

There are tons of jobs where people do not get paid appropriately for the actual work they do. Some people don't tip waitresses correctly, not realizing most make only $2 per hour wages and they have to share their tips with bus persons. People realize models don't need to be paid what they are paid but that doesn't cause an attack of conscience when they don't tip their waitress correctly or pay their employees correctly. They should eat places where no tip is expected.
The other thing is sacrifices...It's just rarely do you hear people say, 'man, I get paid crap because I made crappy choices'. Instead, they just complain about how easy other people have it. There are a handful of people who geniunely did everything right, studied in school, waited to have children, set priorities, but due to circumstances out of their control, who are struggling. But even those people find other ways to get by.
I am sure there are personal sacrifices these models have to endure, whether it's extensive travel, having to give up their sense of privacy, having to give up their modesty, eating restrictions, child bearing restrictions, work out routines, not having a normal social life, and a "window" of working time before you are sent to pasture. Not to mention exposure to drugs and eating disorders. I can say I personally would not be willing to do what they do...I may not make what they do, but I am happy with the work I chose, I knew the payscale possibilities while attending college so it wasn't a surprise what I would be making, and I can eat what I want (with in reason), I fit in having a family...and sure sometimes I wish I would have studied harder in school so maybe I could have been an engineer instead, but that was my own fault. I wasn't disciplined enough. Instead of getting upset about how much better others are doing, I am grateful my family is healthy, and we can pay bills.

Truthfully, I find Adriana Lima more attractive than Gisele. She should be the one that has a net worth of 33 million. Nothing beats dark hair and green eyes. However, the greatest names in fashion (Versace, Cavalli, Gucci, Fendi, Galliano, etc....) love Gisele's figure; the way she fits their clothes is critical for their advertisements. So, in comparison to Gisele, Adriana Lima's body probably does not cut it. The significant difference in wealth between Gisele and the other models, in my opinion, is due to the body.
In response to the highschool drop out comment, dissemination of these models' wealth and beauty in the magazines and tv does not mean our country holds such horrid values. This is the entertainment, marketing, and advertisement buisness. If a woman is a dime in a dozen with a 5'11 height, beautiful face, and has perfect assests for modeling the clothes of a high-fashion coutoure artist, than she should go for it (despite dropping high school). She/He could always continue her/his educational experiences after her career in modeling ceases.
Every person in this fasion buisness (whether he is a model, designer, advertiser) all enter this high- strung buisness with one incentive: to make an income for themself. Why should, we as Americans, look down upon people ( such as these models) who happen to have the credentials for making a fine income for themselves. Hey, people who naturally have a high IQ have one up on those who do not. They have the credential to enter a greater college, therefore, get a better profession, and reel in more money. But, we Americans, do not frown upon them.
kaytay Jul 23rd 2007 12:51PM
hey if they're that pretty, their parents & plasic sergons should get most of that money!!!
Vivi Jul 23rd 2007 12:57PM
To number 5. You are a citizen of America? Thus I can assume you went to school and they teach spelling in our schools. Why don't you spell the English language correctly? There are 2 kinds of "there" One is spelled "there" and the other is spelled "their" like "put the book 'there' and 'their' homework was not completed. I assume you never completed your homework.

It's so nice to see talent like these girls out there, and even better each day to get it in the mail

Beautiful people spend sometimes hundreds of thousands of dollars to get an education in this country and work their entire lives to pay it back. So if you are beautiful, and don't want to pose for a camera this is your fate. This is what people value. We need a reality check!!
