You wouldn't peg Disney World as the place to find the latest hot cigar bar but Fuego by Sosa Cigars opened last month on Disney's Pleasure Island.
Cigar Aficionado reports that the cigar bar has a cool bar that looks like a slab of melting ice and a full menu of alcoholic beverages. There is also outdoor seating, Custom wooden humidors offer a variety of cigars include the Fuente Fuente Opus X as well as the house brand
Sosa cigars. Smoking is prohibited throughout much of Walt Disney World and is limited to designated smoking areas. The cigar bar is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.

I dont know if thats much better! You wanna know whats bad is I hope your kids dont ask you how they came up with Alice in Wonderland and Puff the Magic Dragon. Last time I checked they were alittle messed up on acid and opium

Smoking may or may not be a danger to your health, but on the other hand so are thousands of other products and practices in life .
I look at it this way - if you smoke you will die - if you do not smoke you will die. No matter how you weigh it living eventually leads to dying !Therefore living is dangerous to you health ! Life is one time around, so do what you enjoy- do it in moderation - and harm no one in the process !

"Its disgusting and your people still smell for a long time after you leave there and I have to smell you all over the place. Your clothes stink, your skinks stinks, YuckO!!!!"
Those were YOUR words me dear and they sound pretty rude to me. I have a very happy home life. My man is happy, my kid is happy, and i'm happy. No problems here hun. I don't attack other people for things they do. I'm not rude to people for things they do. It's a choice...MY choice....everyone who smokes choice! Stop worrying about what other people are and aren't doing. When I go to Disney I have a right to smoke. When we go by ourselves and when we take our daughter. It's a free country! You can't tell parents not to smoke at a theme park. It's ignorant....it won't happen. Do you know how much money they would lose because a lot of people would stop going. When my grandparents were my age they smoked in hospitals for christ sakes!! As for it's not setting a good example for the kids. Guess what? When they grow up it'll be their choice too! Hopefully their parents raised them to make good decisions. This is all way too redicilous!! People should mind their own damn business and not worry with wether people smoke or not. Alcohol and alcohol related accidents probably kill more people every year than cigarettes. Maybe we should out law that too.

Smokers are losing the war, they are making it banned nearly everywhere, and it will be limited to their homes before long. I am nowhere near disney so they can have the whole park for all I care.;

anonymous, I can only say, if ya on the street and someone smoking, crawl on ur belly, smoke rises. You say one thing, and then get obnoxious in the end. I think U need a life. Do ya eat eggs ??? Oh My, cholesterol !!!...Drink cofee ??? depends on the year they do the studies, one year it helps, next it kills ya...If smoking hurts someone health wise, yet they want to, what the hell do U care ???...Don't say second hand killing U, You can always walk away, or cross the street. stop being obnoxiuos, that is a worse habit to many.

Ken, I think you are nauseating. If you were intellegent, you would know that people who smoke are addicted, its not about how smart you are. Maybe you should take the "one-way" raft, since you don't like Americans. Yeah, Americans(Land of the free), free to do what we want to do.I think your a moran if you think you can get second-hand smoke from people who smoke outside HELLO. I think you're rude, and not so intellegent, like your last line, QUOTE, "I hope that one day, a cigar and/or cig. is inventedthat, with one puff, would end the world of this putrid social ill." You're ignorant and you sound like a baby, "puff", who says that, a child??? "Social ill"? Everything you said sounds socially ill. Are you anti-social??? Back off!!! You're ridiculous.

To #6- so the only litter in the world is cigarette butts? I'm not even a smoker and comments like yours annoy the hell out of me. There are rude people in all walks of life, and I've seen plenty of Starbuck's cups littering the world too. I'll bet you and your 18% are one of those snooty Starbucks patrons who sit around making generalizations.
To the rest of you whiners: If we ban smoking from all but designated areas, and you don't smoke, stay the hell away from those areas. I find fat, smelly people offensive, but I have to deal with them, so suck it up, since that probably applies to a lot of you.
There are a lot of rude people out there who don't smoke. What's your excuse?
And all you preachers out there with your "setting a bad example" b.s., your kids are influenced most strongly by the parents. If seeing some guy puffing a cigar or cigarette can corrupt your kid that easily, it might be time to retool your parenting kid.
Non-smokers are one thing. Anti-smokers are a bunch of control freaks who want to dictate the rules of other people's lives. Here's a quarter. Go buy one of your own!

I can't seem to get over OUR obsession with controling others with mindless madness.
I read, and understand the how's and why's of a culture that makes laws. I just can't seem to grasp why OUR laws which outlaws anyone eating TRANS FATS, but only restricts smoking. Hello? Is there a reason, or is it a control issue?
My opinion is eat organic foods, outlaw alcohol, loud music, foods that have a crunch, and any media that doesn't have a positive outlook for our future as a country.
If you want to smoke, roll down the window, and stick your head outside.

And to Number 10, Nauticalman:
It's called "supply and demand". Disney is meeting the demand of its paying customers. If the money dries up because no one is buying, they revamp their business model.

As for the ignorant comments about smoking in Disney World & don't bring your kids there - I just want to say that I am a smoker & i just got back from Disney in February. I was initially not aware that there designated areas & let it be known that EVERY time I tried to light a cigarette, a DISNEY employee directed me to the smoking area which was always 2 miles out of the way & stuck in some corner. Now, I am NOT complaining about where I had to go. B/c even as a smoker, I feel that my choice to smoke should not have to bother some non-smoker. However, my point is that Disney World has NOT become some smoke park. Anyone who does smoke & has been to Disney World will agree that you don't see anyone smoking at all in the parks & they hide the smoking section. As for the cigar bar in Pleasure Island...isn't all of Pleasure Island for adults??? Why in God's name would someone take their child into a cigar bar anyway??? And people complaining bout the gift shops?? That's all of what Pleasure Island was when I went, gift shops & clubs/bars at night. Man, what is this world coming to?? You pay for your own trip - if you don't like Disney, by all means, save the thousands & go to Hawaii or somewhere else (by the way, you can go to Disney World without visiting Pleasure Island you know) I think that it is very neat that Disney tries to accomodate so many different diverse cultures and lifestyles. DISNEY IS STILL FUN!!!!!!!!!!! And I'm 30

Non smokers can stay out of designated smoking areas if they don't like smoke!! PS i am a non smoker but i think we should let people have smoking areas, including the outdoors! Stop legislating our freedoms away! Anti-smoking bans are killing many businesses. Control freaks love to make laws. When will it end? it's like living under Nazis. Stop making laws that rob liberties. Remember dear fellow Americans, we are a country who is proud of FREEDOM!!
smoker Jul 20th 2007 3:54PM
I was just at Disney in Florida in June and I am a smoker. Myself and another in the group took the time to make sure we went to smoking areas to smoke and we never threw our butts on the ground. I also do NOT blow smoke in others faces. That's just plain rude. Don't lump all smokers together as rude or dirty. We're not. What's next? Banning fat people wearing tight clothes there? lol How about banning families with whining little kids begging for everything? There used to be full freedom of choice, what happened to that? And what bandwagon will people jump on next to rid the country of? Mickey himself?
Big Cup O STFU Jul 20th 2007 3:54PM
LOL I laugh when I read a comment that decries attempts to control behavior and then says something like #64: "My opinion is eat organic foods, outlaw alcohol, loud music, foods that have a crunch, and any media that doesn't have a positive outlook for our future as a country.
If you want to smoke, roll down the window, and stick your head outside.
"
Way to go, weirdo.
tk Jul 20th 2007 3:56PM
I was a considerate smoker until everyone started attacking me. Now I blow smoke in your face and anything else I can do to piss you off. The water you drink and the food you eat does you more harm than smoke. If you take cancer caused from smoking out of the equitation you are still left with 90% of the cancers. And heart attacks kill more people than ALL cancers. So as you shovel the food in remember YOU CAN KISS MY ASS. Soon you will be targeted too for whatever as they moderate what we can and can't do.
missy Jul 20th 2007 3:57PM
This is a cigar bar, not a cigarette bar. Before everyone gets all freaked out about condoning smoking, maybe they should note the difference.
Also, when Disney first began to trademark everything a half a century ago, everyone smoked. If he didn't, likely people thought he was a weirdo. Anyone who has a parent over 50 knows that it was a part of the culture, just as it is now a part of the culture now to ostracize them. Get some perspective. Once upon a time, there were no seat belts in cars, and now kids have to be strapped into car seats until they're nearly teenagers. Were parents who didn't buckle their children or demand seat belts in cars neglectful? Hardly. But they probably understood a notion I think we have lost; people should make their own choices on what to do with their life and health, right or wrong, and not be bullied or forced into doing things they don't want to, either by the law or supposed do-gooders. It's about personal liberty, not what you personally like or dislike.
Also, I'm sick of listening to people trying to blame large corporations for not being more "responsible." People should be responsible for themselves, and not childishly expect corporations to do their decision making for them. Disney is responsible for one thing: making money. They will do anything they can to ensure they continue to do so, including appeasing their whiny customers. Wake up and take care of your own life, mind your own business and get some autonomy!
b13o69 Jul 20th 2007 4:05PM
Please remeber that most smokers now are over 40 and the older men & women, well alot of them was given their 1st cigs. by the USO or by the army ib WWII and then again in Vietnam, why must we take away all their freedom.
Big Cup O STFU Jul 20th 2007 3:58PM
And I'll bet half the comments here come from the "Human Double-Wide" population, who scream about smokers setting a bad example, yet think nothing of the example they themselves set. Disney accomodates another dangerous behavior, obesity, by serving truckloads of fatty foods to thousands who walk along stuffing their faces with their little trailers in tow. And I see a lot of them "littering" too, because they're too large to make the effort to walk to the trash cans. I find obesity offensive, and it's dangerous too. Can we ban that?
Big Cup O STFU Jul 20th 2007 4:04PM
LOL at #72. Smoke doesn't go in the air. I can smell someone's smoke for 50 yards.
Yeah, I'll bet that you can also sniff out a cheeseburger from that distance as well. I'll wager that half the comments like this come from people who either sit in front of a computer all day stuffing their faces instead of moving, or who are just too weird to be taken seriously. Anyone who lists what this nitwit wrote sounds like a pure neurotic who does nothing but walk around places like Disney complaining about the smells and sights that offend her. You're nuts, lady.
If I had to choose between a life with someone like you and a slow painful death caused by smoking, I'd say, "Smoke 'em if you got 'em!"
Jim Jul 20th 2007 4:31PM
In the past I've always been very considerate of non-smokers, but the next time I get a rude look or remark, I'm going to stand or sit right next to them and blow smoke in their face and tell them too f**k Off. NO MORE MR NICE GUY! Also! I used to be a non-smoker myself but I never made any remarks to anyone, I just went somewhere else if it bothered me. I was in Italy 15 years ago, (I'm a loser and can't afford a better vacation...lol) with my wife and we sat at a table close to an open door and away from everyone else so we could lite up. Guess what? A family sat right at our table and the wife of that family made a rude comment about our smoking and we had to quit. Had my wife not been there, I would have told them that they would have to leave and find somewhere else to sit (which their was). This is just a means to express power over others given the excuse that smoking is bad. Don't give in to that behavior, recognize it for what it is.
