You wouldn't peg Disney World as the place to find the latest hot cigar bar but Fuego by Sosa Cigars opened last month on Disney's Pleasure Island.
Cigar Aficionado reports that the cigar bar has a cool bar that looks like a slab of melting ice and a full menu of alcoholic beverages. There is also outdoor seating, Custom wooden humidors offer a variety of cigars include the Fuente Fuente Opus X as well as the house brand
Sosa cigars. Smoking is prohibited throughout much of Walt Disney World and is limited to designated smoking areas. The cigar bar is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.

I don't remember meeting you Bob Thornton. You have put me in a category that is so wrong and stereotypical. I smoke because I want to. No one forces me to smoke. I resent people who do not know me, and generalize. Label only the people you know personally and not make hasty generalizations.
T.C. writes that people who smoke are losers. Since Walt Disney was a chain smoker, does this mean he was a loser?

Its disgusting and your people still smell for a long time after you leave there and I have to smell you all over the place. Your clothes stink, your skinks stinks, YuckO!!!!

Do any of you even know where on Disney Pleasure Island is? Is is a small piece of land that is full of bars. This is the adult Disney and kids are not allowed in after a certain hour.
P.S. I do not like dealing with someone drunk - but hey I have to share this world. Also, I can walk away just like all non-smokers have the right to do.

Alot of you are worried about the kids..........HELLO, I don't think they will be in the bar
Pat Jul 20th 2007 2:56PM
Naucticalman....I am so happy you do not go to Disney and dislike it so much. People with rage and anger problems certainly do not belong going to such a fun place where everyone wears a smile and enjoys an adventure. You are such a disturbed person you really should seek help. Please please stay out of disney for all the rest of us to enjoy the magic. Pat

The way I feel about it.. if you don't like it, DON'T GO IN THERE...People ALWAYS have something to grip about..Go on about your business and stop worrying about what the other ADULTS are doing. Believe it or not.. smokers are NOT bad people.. and NO I am NOT a smoker, just in case you are wondering.. Some of you people need to get a life and quit worrying about something that is none of your business..

I agree with Michael Pederson - he really says it well and with honesty.
As for the comments on the Pleasure Island and Disney promoting (or whatever word you want to use) homosexuality: Disney was one of the first corporations that gave employees "domestic partner" benefits. This happened while Walt Disney was still alive. They are a company that doesn't cater to the "goody two shoes" they are a company that wants everyone accepted and welcomed in their company and at their parks. They have specialty days for gays and they have specialty days for the Deaf and so forth: but that doesn't mean that one day a year is allocated for people to come : all people welcome everyday of the year at the "happiest place on earth". What's wrong with that: don't judge, let people be.
Yes there are rude smokers. But there are alot of smokers that are not. As with any group of people in any 'category' of humans, there are ignorant, bad and rude people - don't judge every person on other people's behavior.

It nauseates me to no end to even think that Disney World would even consider such a carcinogenic option. What's the next step: providing a store to purchase automatic weapons? Disney World used to represent the purest of family fun and entertainment. To provide an option for cancer-seekers and cancer-causers is ludicrous and proposterous. If such careless individuals want to purchase cancer-causing agents, they should take a one-way raft to Havana!! It is about time that more intelligent people rise up to the insurgent morons in this country that behave in ways that not only impact their own lives, but have a potentially fatal impact on innocents. Cigar and cigarette smokers are typical rude and inconsiderate individuals. Intelligent non-smokers should not even have to think that they would have to inhale the 2nd-hand carcinogenic fumes of such disgusting behaviors of smokers. I hope that one day, a cigar and/or cigarette is invented that, with one puff, would end the world of this putrid social ill.

My goodness, so many "anti-smokers" seem to forget how important a "bad example" can be! Why, a "bad example" allows you to realize just how much better you are than they! It allows you to "ride your high horse" without so much as a stable fee!
And perhaps it may even cross the minds of anti-smokers that they should be kinder to those who are dying.

I agree with Nauticalman. We took our children there years ago and it was "Gay" day at the park. No one bothered to inform us. There were men doing things with each other that my husband and I wouldn't do in public. We left and will never go back!
ME Jul 20th 2007 2:58PM
Anna.....you're stupid. I smoke outside. I don't smoke in my car, I don't smoke in my house and you know what? People who have never seen me smoke don't know that I do. If you don't like the smell....walk out of your way to go around us. I'm guessing (with as much sh*t as your full of) you probably stink too! :)

Pleasure Island is for adults, kids shouldn't be there anyways. The HOB has performers with all sorts of raunchy acts, Virgin Records always has large, sexual ads placed in their windows. It isn't like the cigar bar is next to Cinderella's Castle.

I am a smoker and I don't appreciate the notion that I - "people" - would blow smoke in your face. I am very respectful of non-smokers and I feel uncomfortable when I smoke around them, not because of the increasing laws against public smoking, but because I respect their non-smoking lifestyle.
justme Jul 20th 2007 3:01PM
OK folks, just some input on smoking and rudeness. First of all, most people have some bad habits, who are we to judge them ??..There are plenty of rude people that don't smoke, so picking on smoking and butts thrown on the ground is kinda ridculous. How many can't walk to a trash bin, or put trash in their pocket or bag til they find one. Why ya think there are so many people walking around in at least the parks, that do nothing but pick up trash, and it not all cig butts, or thrown by people that smoke. Yea, I smoke, I also grew up with lead paint on my crib, my parents never knew where I was wwhen I went to play outside, they just said be home at dark !!...So many things to mention, point is, it is getting ridulous. Doesn't any one have some thing better to do than make some statement, singling out anyone cause of some habit etc...how about not using a directional signal in traffic, that can cause an accident, and a life. Get a life folks, life is what me make it, and to take the time to pick on any one habit some one has, right or wrong in your mind, is a waste of time in my mind. Many people in many situations don't give a damn about others, they are selfish, but to say that people who do this or that are all wrong, I can't swallow that one. people are what their parents brought them up to be, no matter what they do for habits. People who "push" their beliefs, be it religion or life, to me are the most aggravating !! I gonna stop, could go on, and don't really care about people that can't examine themselves before they pick apart some one else.

OMG talk about stupid. ME you take the cake. Smokers just don't know how bad they smell. I live with a smoker. He doesn't smoke in the house, in the car or anywhere near me. But his clothes smell like smoke and so does his hands until he washes. I am sure you smell too but like all other smokers you have come accustom to it. I'm sorry the smoke has got to your brain and you have to be so rude, and yes stupid.
angie Jul 20th 2007 3:05PM
O.M.G. Go and get a life, are you that bored that you are worried about smoking adults in a bar like setting having a few drinks and laughs,Where children shouldnt be,then have the balls to start cutting a persons sexuality.I trully think that you should mind your own business and stop worrying about us smokers and worry more about things that you do have the ability to chaNGE
leogirl956 Jul 20th 2007 3:05PM
I don't think that Disney World is committing a crime when they open their doors to smokers or homosexuals; if you all will recall their motto is that they are the "Happiest place on earth." So why shouldn't this be true for those who would chose a different life style? It is a park for people of all ages and all walks of life. I went in the summer of 2006 and not once did I get smoke blown in my face. People were kind and smoked in the apporpriate areas. You shouldn't label a smoker rude or wrong for what they do. My husband is a smoker and I am not. In all the years that we have been married, and during the years that we were dating, he would cater to my needs when it came to his smoking. He would go outside, or if we were outside he would ask if the smoke was bothering me or ask me to stand up wind so that the smoke wouldn't come towards me. If you ask me, for a smoker, that's pretty nice. If you ask me the ones who are rude are those who command a smoking person to move, or put out their cigarrette. Is it to hard to ask nicely or say please?
ME Jul 20th 2007 3:14PM
Didn't Albert Einstein smoke? He wasn't a dumb person. Hmm....kind of makes me wonder about the intelligence of the person who wrote smokers are stupid people. I know a few dummies who don't smoke.
The bottom line here is that you can't control people. Or their actions. If people want to smoke....let them. Sure you don't care about their rights being taken away (those of you who say ban it all together) but wait unitl it's something you do. I bet your tune will change then, huh?
