South Beach Biloxi

A reader alerted me to another sign of the growing push to turn Biloxi, Mississippi into a resort destination. The area, which was devastated by Hurricane Katrina, is now the site of many resorts and casinos, both rebuilds and new projects. South Beach Biloxi is planned to be two towers for a total of 326 units with the plan to possibly expand the development to multiple beachfront towers. The developer behind the project is Ray Wooldrige who is a former part owner of the New Orleans Hornets basketball team and has a vision of turning Biloxi into a more prosperous tourist destination.
The first tower will be 94 studio, one-bedroom and two bedroom units with private balconies, floor to ceiling windows and luxury interior finishes. The There will also be an amenity floor with a spa, fitness room, indoor pool, outdoor pool, cafe & club room. The units are fairly small (the two bedroom is 1141 square feet and the studio has no kitchen only a wet bar) but they are designed to be vacation homes.

I spent 4 months in Biloxi and love the people and the town. Nearby Ocean Springs has fantastic restaurants and an incredible Hookah Bar/Restaurant that serves up Tapas. Another great spot is the Schooner restaurant in downtown. I can't say enough for Biloxi and the area. Also - only a short drive to Bourbon Street in one direction or Destin, Fl for the finest white sands beaches in the other direction.

I found out that Dracula's castle is for sale a month ago for $135 million. That castle is not just very historical(because of Count Vlad) but it already left us that "ancient trademark of dracula". I am positive that the price will still go higher. There is something about that estate that gives Transylvania a title.
