Gramercy by Philippe Starck
Gramercy YOO by Starck is the newest New York city complex by the prolific French designer. The project launched on the 1st of May 2007 in Manhattan and half of the units are already sold. The building is standard Starckness with amenities that include a lounge, communal terrace, roof garden and fitness room. The most interesting homes in the complex are the the Duplex Sky Houses, two-story glass-fronted houses in the sky that also have private outdoor space. I just can't seem to get over the outrageous prices/sq.ft. in NYC. I mean $1300/sq.ft. for a studio is pretty darn expensice, no matter where you are. As an architect who has worked on some very, and i mean very, expensive renovation projects (including the most expensive condo ever put up for sale in atlanta) $1300/sq.ft. can buy you some VERY VERY nice finishes, not just gypboard and glass tile. Yes i know that land costs are outrageous up there, but common... besides, who wants to live in 413 sq.ft?

The apartment isnt 400 sq. ft. That is the size of the terrace if you read.
