The Ultimate Coffee Cup?

Is this the ultimate coffee cup? Designer David Pier says so. He has designed this white porcelain cup and saucer to be the best around. The set is made from lead-free porcelain, and is microwave and dishwasher safe. The saucers also double as lids. What makes this mug different is that it has an undulating rim designed to fit the rim better and prevent spills. The oval body is meant to bring the center of gravity closer to the hand. I am not sure whether or not it is the ultimate coffee cup but the design has a certain fluid charm. It sells for $22 each (buy five and get the sixth free).

I am a daily coffee drinker. I drink on average one to two cups of coffee each day. Unless this "ultimate designed coffee mug" makes my already great cup(s) of coffee taste even greater.. I am NOT buying it!!

The design of the cup looks very appealing. I would probably buy this if it were bigger. I need a CUP of coffee, not a shot glass, lol. Cute though.

Are you kidding me? This "improvement" reproduces the same error of conventional coffee cups - huge exposed surface so that the temperature will drop precipitiously in a short time. The only "improved" cup I've seen is a metal thermos like model manufactured for Starbucks with a small opening for drinking that can be sealed between sips.

I bought it to go with my ulimate Capresso coffee maker! Very sharp. The lid/saucer is a great idea. I'm not drinking my coffee out of a metal cup - yuck. That's a little better than styrofoam, I guess.

Look at the info pages and pictures, the cup is actually pretty big (12 oz).
