I remember Ferrari offered the Pope a Ferrari... Now he says that it is a sin to own one? So we find the biggest sinners inside the 'holy' walls of Vatican... a bit ironic, I guess...

Pedro

Comments on Is It A Sin To Own A Ferrari?

Sure there is a little more than "a lil" status symbolism going on in the purchase of the Ferrari, but whose the Pope to say that someone should not be able to work hard and than spend what they made on a hard days work for something they want to own.

I guess I don't look up to the Pope for anything, but even if it was my own father telling me not to buy the car I wouldn't listen as long as I can comfortably afford the car, but I can't afford it and would listen to my father if he was offering sound advice on the concept of saving.

Graffitimonkie

Comments on Is It A Sin To Own A Ferrari?

I'm not Catholic, I'm an evangelical, and we tend to be more conservative about these things than Catholics. From Philippians 4:8.

Most of us appreciate Ferrari for the beauty, form, and function of the vehicles. Very few folks own Ferraris to "stick it" to someone else. The Pope is wrong.
