Ferrari Theme Park to Unseat Disney World as The Happiest Place On Earth!
Ferrari is developing what may be the new "end all, be all" of automotive adventure -- the Ferrari Theme Park, scheduled to open in 2009 on Yas Island, just a 30-minute drive from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The $40 million project promises to offer up everything from roller coasters to a pit-lane team experience, go-karts, virtual reality racing simulators, a racing school, and a g-force simulator that helps laypeople experience the forces felt by race car drivers. An interactive museum will also be at hand, particularly useful for cooling off and waiting for your raging endorphins to ebb.
In addition to the park being a sweet tourist destination for gearheads, the economic benefit will be a great perk for Abu Dhabi, which is currently trying to lessen its economic dependence upon the oil business.

so 1 cool theme park for the towel heads to enjoy 2000 for the americans. unseat disney? i think not. but its all part of they're grand mastermind plot of terrorism. raise gas prices, so no american can afford to drive to and enjoy disney land. then take the money and put it into a retarded theme park that after the gas prices skyrocket, will be cheeper to get to by plane then disney land is by car. damn terrorist. destroying something as pure as disney world.

THe whole world benefits when the mid-east develops and joins the modern world. Financial progress will go far to help that part of the world forget their anger at those who do prosper.

Oh and Mia, if you like Fox News, you are an "ignorant American", They are all propagandist liars, and Rupert Murdoch is the devil incarnate.
Tim Bevil Jun 17th 2007 4:55PM
Did the article say $40 million invested? Isn't that a drop in the bucket compared to what Disney has already invested over 4 decades? Did they mean 40 billion?
DB Jun 17th 2007 4:40PM
Totally agree with you Norma Smith, and when America stops strongholding poorer countries in debt, and stops Israel, we will be safe. We will not be safe jsut because King George says so

$40 million for a project this size is completely realistic if in Dhabi. Pay employees maybe a 1.00 a day with no benefits. No workers comp or other pesky overhead. Nothing like lighting your cigar with 100 dollar bills while enjoying a game of Polo and a glass of Dom. Why should the company care if over worked emloyees are dropping like flies and eating dust? Maybe, I am being over judgemental, but from the programs I have seen on construction in the middle east and the cost of the project...I doubt it.

I Agree Disney Cailf. or Florida is it. I am old enough to remember Disney 1955. WOW! It was great. Now I take my grandkids to Disney Calif. or World. I want them to have the same memories I do.
Dan Jun 17th 2007 4:58PM
$40 million, what? All we get to see would be a couple of Ferraris. No thanks, I stick to Mickey & Minnie
annel Jun 17th 2007 5:01PM
are you kidding me, nothing will ever unseat Disney World Florida.
Lauren Jun 17th 2007 5:02PM
And what type of values will this give to kids, "make lots of money so you can buy an expensive car and drive fast"? At least Disney taught children to be imaginative and creative and to dream big...

The real ignorance can be found only within....I read all of the comments and was outraged by the stereotypical ignorance. They hate us because we're american...or at least that's what the media wants you to believe. We hate them becuase they hate us. CHILDISH...We see gunshots on the news as a nightly occurance, yet how many of us will actually witness a gun shooting in our lifetimes? Get your own facts and stop being the pawns that they want you to be.
