The World's Most Amazing Bathrooms

An all-too familiar theme when away from home is the stress over not only finding a bathroom when you need it, but then dealing with the usual grunge and general nastiness that always seems to be the case. It's a shame more places don't put more effort into their restrooms, but thankfully there are a few that do. And in a big way, too! Concierge.com has traveled the world and compiled this list of extravagant, outrageous, and sometimes almost unbelievable bathrooms featuring everything from high-tech fogging glass walls to pulsating neon lights to solid gold everything.
Next time you're traveling it might be with the specific intention to visit certain bathrooms, instead of traveling in spite of them!

I would have to say that one of my favorite bathrooms in the world is in Bodrum, Turkey. The coastal town is home to hundreds of night clubs and luxury accommodations.
I went to dinner at a hotel there (I was staying on a boat) and when I locked the stall door, it went opaque. Unreal when you see it for the first time.

I'm with you, Rigel, some of these are amazing.
But when I travel I'm just happy to find a clean one!

The Glass box one near the end made me laugh. That would be an incredibly cruel thing to do. I would definately opt for a restaroaunt bathroom instead.
Its funny, these almost make me just want to travel so that I can see the restrooms.

Hey! its the common denominator between each and every one of us--we all have to relieve ourselves and its great when its beautiful and clean! Even Paris Hilton has to use a facility somewhere!

Jonathan's Angels restroom while hardly cutting edge makes you want to stay in there with the fountain the angels and just the caring. I dug deeper and this (I believe Romanian) Harley Man has a very cool bar loves his kids-his angels. Visit if you are in Rome. I have tomremimnd the faint of heart that this is a very free plsce where you might see an 80 year old doing a strip tease or a wonderful piano. As a refugee from the land of the misfit toys I return again and again.

In Branson, Missouri, at the Shoji Tabuchi Theatre, they have the most amazing bathrooms. Tour buses go there just to see them -- live flowers and gold fixtures in the ladies room. A pool table in the men's room.

I'm glad to see someone else is talking about this important and often overlooked issue, as you say it's something we all need to do and finding clean facilities when travelling is important.
