Rivendell Condominums

I am not sure why this complex is named after the Elven outpost in Tolkein books but Rivendell, is a new waterfront condominium building with views of Assawoman Bay and the Atlantic Ocean in Ocean City, Maryland. The building has 88 two, three, and four-bedroom condo residences. The building is also home to the Hobbit Restaurant, indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center and covered parking. Prices start in the low $600,000s and move-in is set to begin this fall.

What is luxury about this? It's just an average condo building with the same dull condo architecture you see everywhere.

It's bay side, not ocean side - which means a 4 to 5 block walk across Coastal Hwy to the beach. They might have an ocean view on the upper floors now but no guarantee for the future.
It looks like its right behind La Hacienda Restaurant- the best Mexican place at the beach. Now it'll be even harder to get into.

I had the pleasure of touring their models this past weekend and I can tell you this building is different from anything else I've seen at the beach. Not the same old vanilla layouts typical of the beach. Really cool plans that take advantage of spectacular views from almost every room. Very well done. The finishes that come standard with these condos are other builders upgrades. Plus, you can see both the ocean and bay from the 4th floor up. And it's only one block to the beach, not 4 or 5. You have to see the units, their views and appointments to really appreciate the uniqueness of this building. My wife and I have a deposit on a spectacular three-bedroom.
