50 Cent's Home, Estate of the Day

Today's estate in Farmington, Conn. is one of the legendary symbols of excess. Mike Tyson owned this home in the past but it currently belongs to 50 Cent, who bought it for just $4.1 million. Tyson's ex wife originally wanted $25 million and so the home was a bit of a discount considering that is has more than 50,000 square feet of space.
Fiddy is said to have spent a few million on the house but as the Real Estalker Mama mentions, it's hard to find it when looking at the photos of the place. It seems to be completely devoid of taste and personality. Sure it's got a disco the size of many homes but the overall effect is rather bland. The home has 19 bedrooms, four kitchens, a movie theater, full gym, five Jacuzzis and an indoor shooting range. The pool area is P.I.M.P. -worthy with an infinity pool and a Playboy Mansion-style grotto but the interior of the house seems to be decorated more like a businessman's hotel than a rapper's paradise. Sure the two-story lobby is lavish and there is a dining room with a Baccarat chandelier and a formal living room overlooking a one-acre koi pond, but overall, this place disappoints. It is listed at an ambitious $18.5 million. After the jump, I'm guessing the fountains are all Tyson's legacy.
UPDATE: This home is still on the market for $14.5 million.

This comment is for Henry and Adam. Thanks for correcting the grammar for the previous post. I would like an invite to correct some of your dancing moves. I bet you dance like somebody with epileptic seizure.

Shonda who was even talking about that skank hilton she needs to go to jail and bite the bullet. Shut up and leave the comments for people who understand, this is about 50 cent and his house for sale. Not a stupid blonde who needs the nasty slapped out of her, and if i were her I'd get the lazy eye fixed instead of turning to the side, and I'd get that witch nose hacked off by the hostel guy!!!

That home is a gaudy representation of some mans attempt to buy class but anyone who spouts off such vulgarity is scarcely capable of attaining it.

While Henry was correcting antoinette wise's post, he must have inadvertantly overlooked his own errors! For one, so be it, is actually spelled sobeit. LOL!
For two, his punctuation and his paragraph's also have some error's and so he made himself look like an asshole.
If he was going to correct someone, he should first take a good, long, hard look at his own grammatical errors; This way, he would not look like such a fool.
Other mistakes that he made while TRYING to correct mistakes:
1.) lounge / piano (*correction: lounge/piano)
2.) renovate / decorate (*correction: renovate/decorate
3.) spa / rehab (*correction: spa/rehab
*NOTE: No space is necessary between the two words. :)
As for the one that I found to be hilarious:
What is a rapper's home supposed to look like?
I am thinking:
What SHOULD a rapper's home look like?
Or possibly even:
Who is to say what a rapper's home should look like?
Nice try Henry, for the most part, you did well. But no cigar. SORRY!
One other thing that I would like to add is that I don't recall reading anywhere on this page where it said that they were looking for people to correct grammatical error's Henry, and the only reason that I corrected yours, is to show you that even you can make mistakes, just as I am almost certain that someone else with a higher education will come along and correct my errors now!!!
Can't we all just post and get along?!
Happy Posting

Hey, I'll be honest. Not my taste, but certainly wouldn't turn it down if given the chance to own it. By adding or taking things away could easily make it more personal.

I just read and looked at the pictures of this beautiful house. My questions are:
1. Why do people want homes so big?
2. I'm assuming that they have housekeepers;
landscapers; etc. or do they do their own
cleaning?
3. It just amazes me that some people are lucky
enough to live like this while there are
people living in shacks - ie:
the people in the Appalachian Mountains!
Hope he enjoys all his wealth - I'm having a home built but it will probably fit into 1 of his rooms!

Edward Van Halen's house puts this to shame. This is a dump compared to the Van Halens!! I know that for a FACT!!

This property is simply another example of how actors, musicians, and other "celebrity" types squander money. it would be interesting to find out how much time 50Cent actually spends LIVING in the house. no one needs 19 bedrooms, 5 jacuzzis and as many kitchens. Indeed, the house, from the photos of the exterior, has absolutely no personality. it is balnd and almost looks like some kind of rehab institution. the interior sucks as well. the owener would do well to scale down and remodel the property even if it means tearing down entire sections of it. of course that would cost money, but then he'd have a property which is aesthetically pleasing and feels like a home, which would be worth selling...On the other hand, with all the money he's got, I'd say simply buy himself a real home and turn this current property, as another post suggested into a rehabilitative institution for recovering drug addicts, alcoholics, battered women & men or even a facility for children who are at risk.
god knows that he needs to provide reparations for all the damage he did as a former drug dealer. indeed he also needs to make reparations for negative influences and inferences in his music which currently helps to misguide young people.

Disgusting self indulgence. He should sell it, buy a more modest home, and give the money to charity.

I think a rapper's home should look like this one. After all it's 50 Cent's house and he IS a rapper.
I think it's beautiful I sure wouldn't complain if I had a crib like this one.
And besides I'm sure 50 Cent could care less what any of us think about his house. He likes it or maybe it was an investment? Whatever the reason may be I think he made a good choice.

To all the people that made the negative comments...Stop hating! The questions are...What do you all live in? Can you all afford to purchase a home like that or even afford the furnishings in it? Probably not. Be happy for him. He has been through alot to get to where he is at. I commend 50 cents. Keep up the good work brother!
Monica May 31st 2007 12:41AM
For the simple fact that most of the people making negative comments about 50 Cent's estate probably cannot afford a house half that size, their biased statements are completely null and void. Who really cares about how the house is decorated. The knowledge that he can afford a house this massive is enough. These negative comments feeds into John Steinbech's commentary on human satisfaction, "Humans are never satisfied. The more you give them, the more they want." 50 Cent was not birthed into this world to please anyone except for God and himself. He doesn't even need to please God because he has free will. The house is beautiful. The decor is beautiful to some and bland to others. Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion, but let's stop the hating. Instead, let us commend the brother on a job well done.

Who the hell cares anyway? I'm still in an apartment and am not even concerned about none of this. Good for fifty and anyone else who can afford it. I'm just living MY life.
