Little Rock Castle, Estate of the Day

Castles show up in the oddest places. This one, an old stone and brick manse, is in Little Rock, Arkansas. The home was built in the 1930s and is over 8,000 square feet. The six-bedroom home has a very substantial feel with stone walls, heavy dark wood paneling and monumental fireplaces. The home has been cursed with some pretty awful carpeting but I suspect that there might be hardwood floors underneath. There are two master suites on opposite sides of the house. Another good detail is the circular library/loook out area. The bottom level of the house has a game room, den and a bar/kitchen. The whole property is over 80 acres and has an adorable 900 square foot sotne guest house and stone stables. This historic property has hosted political fundraisers for Arkansas senators been the back drop for a couple of movies. It is listed at $3.9 million.
