Monsac's 'Nantucket' tote is a twist on the old-fashioned Nantucket lightship basket bags made of woven cane or wood with a hinged lid. This bag is made of rattan and has a hinged top with a magnetic snap tab closure. It has crinkled patent leather handles and a leather front pocket that makes it look a bit like it has had some sort of accident with a hobo bag. The bag has enough room for your water bottle, a book and wallet, sunglasses and cell phone. It comes in white, blue or black with rattan.
It sells for $278. I can't decide if I would like it more without the leather pocket on the front or not.
