I think that's just for the slope. If you have the need to ski go to where the snow is, that snow is a product of the natural environment not the product of burning thousands of gallons of fossel fuel which contributes to global warming which will create the need to burn more fuel to maintain that snow. Snow in Texas is unnatural and will only contribute to the decline of the environment. I don't know anything about this snowflex, but if it is a viable skiing surface, why not? Having an attraction for locals to ski on that would probably not go to another state is not a bad thing. Since it is fake snow I don't see the hardcore skiers flocking to Dallas to ski. <br><br>If you want to see real decadance look up the ski run that was built in the desert of Dubai! I just watched a Discover channel show about it. They make it because it means you don't need to keep the temperature near freezing or have snow machines working to make snow.<br><br>You install it once and go, and it's there 24 7.<br><br>There is NO environmental stuff from this, yeash.<br><br>In fact, there's more environmental from traditional man made snow, because its being made where it doesn't belong (typical in a mall - but a lot of ski resorts do lay down some man made snow, or create ski areas).<br><br>Environment wise, I like this stuff better. I have access to Brider Bowl, Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin all only 45 minutes away.
