Sutton Corners Farm, Estate of the Day

Today's estate in Bedford, New York isn't just a home, it's a look back at another way of life. Bedford is home to a variety of classic estates, several of which we have looked as other estate of the day listings such as the sweetly charming Wildflower Farm. Sutton Corners Farm is a 12-acre spread landscaped by Frederick Law Olmsted. The Victorian home was built in the 1870s and looks out over a green landscape of rolling hills. The land includes a six-stall Victorian barn, four stables, a riding arena, paddocks, a guest cottage, studio, playhouse and pool. The home itself has five bedrooms and Victorian eyecandy details such as a wraparound porch, parquet floors, decorated ceilings, nine-foot windows and a large staircase. No kitchen or bathroom pictures so there may be some renovation needed. It is listed at $8.495 million. After the jump, porches made for long summer evenings.
