Another wine for a good cause has been announced. We recently saw a wine for Harley lovers, today's wine might find a home with baseball fans. The 45YGB wine celebrates the "Ya Gotta Believe" spirit of the late Tug McGraw. Schweiger Vineyards and Trifecta Wines have teamed up with the Tug McGraw Foundation, which helps people with brain cancer, and former San Francisco 49ers Harris Barton and Ronnie Lott's Champion Charities to raise money for both organizations. There will be a 45YGB
wine release dinner party on May 8, 2007 at Figaro's Ristorante in San Francisco. The wine is an Estate Red made from red varietals at Schweiger Vineyards. The bottle's label shows a baseball, Tug McGraw's signature and a 45YGB which represents McGraw's baseball jersey number and his personal mantra "Ya Gotta Believe."
The wine sells for $45 per bottle and 600 cases of the wine were made.

How is it with hotdogs? Does it pair well with nachos? I have often wondered if peanuts should be served with a white or red wine, and, if in shell, out of shell, salted or roasted makes a difference?
Either way, take me out to the ballgame, and buy me some 45YGB wine and Crackjack.
