King's Malibu Flip, Estate of the Day

Today's estate of the day was first reported by the Real Estalker. In just a few months, the cheeky and knowledgable Real Estalker has developed a blog worth obsessing over. Today's estate belongs to Martin Luther King Jr.'s son Dexter. Apparently Dexter is a rather smart houseflipper who bought this house for $2.055 million in 2005. The home has four bedrooms and absolutely beautiful ocean views. The four-bedroom home is very modern with glistering stainless steel in the kitchen and big wide windows to let in plenty of light. As Your Mama of the Real Estalker points out, it's most likely staged with rental furniture but whoever did it definitely earned their pay because it looks amazing. The major off note is the hot tub on the roof. It's delightfully positioned for maximum views but the rather chintzy tub strikes a note of discord against these sleek environs. It is listed at $3.495 million which should bring King a tidy profit if it sells for anything close to that. After the jump, table lamps on the kitchen counter?

These photos look incredibly retouched, especially the dining room one.

Table lamps on the kitchen counter -- it's a Southern thang.

The rather chintzy tub is one of the only hot tubs to run off 100v so its what you have to live with for plugging right in to a normal outlet. I have the same model, it was easier than dealing with an electrician.

This is "The White Castle". This place has about as much "warmth" as an igloo. Plan on doing a total interior redo if you want this place to look like a place that is selling on it's stand alone value. House flipping is fine, but this place looks to me like someone "SAT" on it and went to Value City and threw bought furnishings.
hope the view is great but with what could be done with someone with taste it has potential.
By the way,the kitchen looks someone will have to use roller skates as it is so space wasteful.
