Chopard Happy Sport Mark II Chornograph Watch

The Chopard Happy Sport watches, with their cluster of rotating diamonds have always been happy little jewelry watches since their launch in 1993. Given that more women are looking for something a little more rugged these days, Chopard is rolling out this hybrid, the Happy Sport Chrono. The watch is definitely girly with a pink crocodile strap, gold case and the mobile Happy diamonds but it also has a big crenellated bezel and chrono functions. It seems a strange melding of styles. Perhaps this is for the person who wants to know exactly how much time it takes the manicurist to finish her acrylics.

I like cross-over watches in general (like the Diamond Pavé Invicta Russian Diver, although not a popular piece among most) and this Dress/Sport watch is a very nice execution by Chopard. My only complaint is that it's a quartz movement, so it's more flash than finesse.
