Lil Jon's Necklace Sets Bling Record

Rapper Lil Jon has quite a handful with the necklace shown here. The Guinness Book of World Records has officially certified it as the largest diamond pendant ever. The "Crunk Aint Dead" pendant is 7.5 inches tall, six inches wide and weighs almost 12 pounds. This is some bitty bling, 73 carats of diamonds on the necklace but 3,756 round-cut white diamonds total set in 18K yellow and white gold. It is valued at around $500,000. I'd say something about how tacky it is but he seems so proud of it.

Rappers and most of Hollywood are scum of the earth. They have no morals. They have bastard children and proud of it. But the sad part is that we have so many ignorant people in society that worship these creeps. They follow their every move on tv, buy magazines about them, talk about them with their same ilk, and generally live for the next move of those scumbags. How sad it is that they have nothing productive in their lives.

It is because of idiots like this guy, what a complete waste of money, maybe he could have invested, saved for his future, or get an education. Just last month, 4 people were killed in this are, guess what, all four were killed by young black males, over drugs and robberies. Is this the kind of role models these kids need? It just hit me that the non-educated postings, such as #64, #65, #67 and #68 are sometimes done just to get a response. Clearly their data is flawed. For example, bankruptcy is at an all-time high in our country, but blacks only make up a small percentage of the population. I think that he makes the money he should beable to do what he wants with it. People just need to find better things to besides hate on others. Rap is not music. Rap performers are not musicians. The lyrics are disgraceful, shameful and degrading to their heritage and women of color. And anyone who thinks that rap is not adding to the violent crime in society has their head in the sand. People who listen to this stuff often (not always, but often) end up doing things that are illegal, immoral or downright disgusting.

Use of the "N" word, the "F" word and references to murder, rape and sodomy have no place in any performance art (and rap is NOT art).

Ever seen the movie Blood Diamond? I believe Chuck D worked on a documentary recently also about the diamond trade in Africa and how it relates to the "bling bling" hiphop culture in America. Basically, those 3,000 diamonds are on his necklace, and as a result, keep thousands of Africans living in poverty, famine, war, and corruption. Think of how $500,000 could have been spent, like many other celebrity humanitarians, to help end things like that, instead, he prefers to support it.
