Lil Jon's Necklace Sets Bling Record

Rapper Lil Jon has quite a handful with the necklace shown here. The Guinness Book of World Records has officially certified it as the largest diamond pendant ever. The "Crunk Aint Dead" pendant is 7.5 inches tall, six inches wide and weighs almost 12 pounds. This is some bitty bling, 73 carats of diamonds on the necklace but 3,756 round-cut white diamonds total set in 18K yellow and white gold. It is valued at around $500,000. I'd say something about how tacky it is but he seems so proud of it.

A lot of you have really good comments, but what really entertains me is you people who get all worked up and start cussing over some STUPID stuff. I am wondering if a few of you are Bi-Polar. :o)You guys are silly, you make me laugh.
lowall22cal Apr 2nd 2007 3:17PM
Just look at the photo...what else would you expect? All show and no class...just another example of no taste..why am I not surprised???

You call this man a N**GER because you do not like the way he spends his money. Ok, Then please tell me what you would call...lets say Donald Trump who waste large amounts of money all the time. Or a Paris Hilton who spends almost the same amount of money on a necklace for her dog.Or lets say Justin Timberlake who has a jewelry collection worth millions....Dude you look for excuses to say N**ger. You are sad. You wish you had his money. I do not like the way he spends the money. But who am I? I think the way rappers spend money is horrible, but who am I? Who am I? I am a black man(A cop)that protects worthless assholes like #7. Then he calls me a N**ger as well. This country is sad.

Consider the labor that went in to mining the diamonds. The exploitation of humans wo are ill treated, have inhumane working conditions and don't get paid crap. For shame.

This is why most black men file bankruptcy within 10 years. They can't hang onto a penny to save their lives. They blow everything they get.

As a black woman I agree that this is a waste of money, but he does have the right to spend it on whatever he pleases. I would never waste my hard earned money on ignorance all love all races but we all have our own flaws. Also to say i do nt listen to rap,the music is garbage it degrades women, and promote sex. I love my black people but some of the things they do are complete ignorance, i hate to be judged as one of theses people. Rap, Bet, AN MTV are not allowed in my house, and i do nt have kids. The things they have on these shows are waste of my time.

Ugly, ugly, ugly. Talk about tacky and trashy looking. I've seen costume jewelry nicer looking than that. Now all the rap singers will be running out there buying even bigger pieces to outdo each other and get in the Guiness Book of World Records. Some jeweler is going to make a mint off them. More money than brains. Just goes to show that all the money in the world can't buy good taste or class. Must be real comfortable lugging that ball and chain around. I hope he has a good chiropractor. @@

Folks, it does not matter whether Lil'Jon can sing,or how much bling he wants. It does not matter what color a person like him is. And it does not matter what his I.Q. is or how much money he makes. What does matter is that the 'have-nots' in this world want what he has showing, regardless of his talent or charity works. So, those who think their entitled to it also, (color is not an issue here) go out and steal, maim or kill for that bling, sneakers, cars, whatever. So, if you really don't like it, or find it steriotyping or embarassing, get vocal about it. Don't buy the records, don't go to their concerts, turn off the radio station that plays it, the message will get through. There is certainly decent rap music, hip=hop music if that is your choice that doesn't demean women, children, and sex but takes it out of the gutter, and gutter
language and puts it back into decent society and morality. Remember, you have the power to change things, all Lil'Jon has is the power that you give him to act irresponsibly.

why can't we all just get along . . . .who cares what he spends his money on! As if, how much money he has or how he spends it is going to make a difference in the whole BIG PICTURE. Can't take it with you . .and it's HIS money - not yours. We all know WHAT we are, there is no need to call names. Not all flowers bloom at the same time. Maybe he just isn't in full bloom yet. Maybe, someday he will look back at his current desires, and want to do better for someone else. Maybe he is on a path to learning a better way. I don't like him either . . .but leave him alone. He feeds on all this attention. Duh!

I Hate to burst you fools bubble as much as i cannot stand lil john's form of "hip hop" i suggest you idiots pick up a book and some musci history lesson's i personally would not buy a chain that weighed 12 pounds but it is nothing about "self-worth" this is the "rich getting rich" and buying this foolishness if you look at liberace and all his extravagant jewels liberace was the original king of"bling" you all sound a lttle disgruntled about the next man's pocket that is sad and pathetic and fyi-people lil john is incredible smart this is all a role he is playing google some pictures and you can see he is a "nerd" laughing all the way to the bank.

The stupid penanant set could have fed a small country in Africa!
I think it is extremely selfish and a disgrace to the African-American race! Especially, when you see wonderful people like Bono using their enoromous wealth to help others!
I wonder if Lil'Jon has seen the movie Blood Diamond that tells the story of how diamonds are sent to this country off the back of poor African who don't have the choices we have in this country!
I hope Lil'Jon watches "Roots" this week and The Eye on the Prize!

Maybe everyone should take a lesson in economics. The fact that everyone goes for themself creates more money for the rest of the soceity, while producing goods that people want. Bill Gates did more for soceity making windows then giving away billions of dollars to his charity. So if this guy wants that much around his neck whatever his choice not yours. That is not what is wrong with soceity today, that is what is great. More people then ever can afford to do this and if we all keep looking out for ourselves then that only helps. So what is wrong is peoples need to hate just love people!

shushor Apr 2nd 2007 3:40PM
Who the hell are all you people that have time to sit around making comments about stupid shit all day long? So Lil' Jon spent half a mil...oooohh so what? Our damn country wastes money on shit all over the place but you want to get down on a rapper for not supporting his community or Africa or opening a school or hospital? Pathetic racist pieces of shit.....P.S. before you call others ignorant you should really learn how to spell...

Well said Ms. Linda(#26)!!
Any half educated person these days knows it would've cost Lil' John +$1 million to get this much advertising!! If he indeed spent $500,000 on that monstrosity, then he's still in plus numbers!! Over-the-top is the reason he has $500k to spend!!
I'm at a loss of words for the sad race wars that appear on blogs. Several people commented on his race and it's just sad. Again, Paris Hilton and everyone else on the E! channel spend way more money then this on useless things such as rare puppies and cars- where does race come in there? Get up to speed people, it's so much more about $$$ these days than race- if you don't believe me, go back to the picture! That's America!
Bond Apr 2nd 2007 3:41PM
( Fools Gold ), that 500,000 could have build a Community-center or a School in a Neighberhood to help these kids that look up to these people as role model. Get real I expect better from Little John, Ok I forget he is a rapper (Bling Bling).
Candy Apr 2nd 2007 3:35PM
Well, it is kinda funny how they can spend so much money on such trash, but it is his money, he earned it. No one tells you how to spend your money. But it would be better to see that he donated money to the Katrina victims or something more useful. I also found it funny that the lady above was complaining about eviction, yet she has money for the internet. So whose wasting money on stupid shit? We all are.
maricus81 Apr 2nd 2007 3:38PM
look yall know money comes and goes its nothing wrong wit spending money hell if he got it then spend it its all bout making money now yall stop hating and leave it alone.
