Bulletproof Raincoat
This is one jacket that should have made the live-like-Jack-Bauer gear list because the only thing that can get into it is you. The long black trench is bulletproof, stab-proof and, of course, weatherproof, so no bullets, knives, "hypodermic needles, ice picks, knives and broken bottles " will penetrate it. Think of it as stylish full-body armor. This makes it the sort of jacket that you would want if you regularly tour through war-zones or exceptionally hostile neighborhoods late at night, although it will certainly give you a sense of security no matter where you go. It features two large front pockets and a high-rise collar to block the chill, as well. Price: $2,000.

This is probably now what the hip hop crowd will wear as they try to take each other down. I guess they'll have to make it six sizes too big. Will they put FUBU on it or logos of sports teams. It's a shame of young black men trying to kill each other because of jealousy and envy. You don't see that people who don't follow the rap culture. As soon as a hip hopper sees some other hip hopper with gold teeth, gold chains, or diamonds, it's trouble. they'll want to kill him.I guess now we'll see hip hop people aiming for each other's faces and heads.
Jacob Mar 9th 2007 7:22AM
Me personaly I'm not too much up on the hip hop culture but onething I do know is that not all hiphop artist are idiot who go around shooting at people. you know if took the time to actually listen to the music and what their actually saying. you have to realize these are people just tring to live a normal life and be better off then they use to be. To my knowledge that pretty much is the american dream
Sean Mar 9th 2007 8:21AM
That rap comment is ridiculous. I doubt any rappers will be wearing RAIN COATS any time soon. This will be more for the Iraqi Government than gold teeth, gold chains rappers.
Wonder how much it weighs!

You don't need to hear the lyrics you just need to hear the news. When was the last time a country singer or pop singer was the victim of or involved in a drive-by?
JT Mar 9th 2007 8:21AM
What do the damn jacket have to do with "hip hop"? Not a damn thing....ignorant folks. Not a damn thing..(sad).
jacob Mar 9th 2007 8:52AM
they are stereotyping that all black people are rappers and gangbangers.
Jaymi Mar 9th 2007 8:56AM
It is pretty neat, but I'll bet it is really heavy.
steve Mar 9th 2007 9:08AM
Number 3 you are correct... Number 6 you are stupid, and you stereotype yourselves.. your never wrong.. Number 5 this jacket would be an excellent asset to hip hop culture... or just keep doing what ya'll are doing, it's been working out nicely...

I am very dissappointed int eh comments about hip-hop above. Not every person that is a hip hop artist is intoe gold changes and gold teeth and not all young black men are trying to kill each other. People of all races try to kill each other. This forum should be about a jacket not about bring the hip-hop or black culture down. Many messages that hip hop artist spread in their songs have nothing to do with hate and killing what is sad is how many of you guys are stereotyping hip hop and blacks. You cannot generalize a few people to a whole population. That is very offensive. I listen to hip hop alot but I am not interested in stealing and shooting I getting my PhD so I can help the world instead of tearing it down by furthering hurtful stereotypes. You say shame on Black Males, well shame on you for stereotyping them.

If this miraculous product exists why is it not covering our men and women in uniform? Where are those billionaires when you need an investor in something truly worthwhile.
Becky Mar 9th 2007 9:25AM
You all are stereotyping black culture, it's not because of the music/rap culture/hip hop/whatever that makes people shoot eachother, who wakes up one morning and says 'I'm going to go get shot today'... the only reason people get shot or go around shooting peole is generally because there were drugs/money invoved, not because they listen to rap music, and even then it's not always black people. I think this coat was designed more for traveling in hostile areas when you're a reporter or something over in iraq.
Shahaila Mar 9th 2007 9:47AM
It is not used in IRAQ because it probably only protects against hand guns. Not automatic weapons. not to mention how would a raincoat work with all the things they have to do. What they have works better than a silly raincoat.

I know we started this off with a new coat on the market, but Oh me, wait just a minute Jacob, I've got plenty to say since you've brought Ghetto reject crap into the picture. What fantasy world do you live in dude? 99.9% of hip hop music is vulgar, degenrating to all man kind, it is a constant encouragement to get your 9mm and leave shorty in a pool of blood, so don't tell me "they're trying to live a normal life and be better than they were", that's bullshit. They came out of the ghetto, but they brought the violence, the drugs, the abuse of the ghetto with them. I've fought this crap for 10 years and will continue until I get the legal system to get off their unproductive asses an do something about it before it's too late. Just yesterday as I was trying to rework my parents cooler for the summer I was confronted with a Hummer at the car wash across the way. The bass was rattling the walls of my parents home and hitting me like an unseen hand, just pound, pound, pound. These thoughtless, inconsiderate, disrespectful SOB's from hell that you say are trying to live a better life have no respect for anyone. Ripping across the neighborhood was, "I ripped off her panties and I F@#% that bitch". If you're a pig and want to lay in slop, fine, but I don't want to put up with the smell, and I don't want it to splash out on me or my family or you'll pay. Ten years ago I started with "could you please turn that down a little" and now I don't care who it is, I don't care how much fire power you might have, it's plain and simple, "you got a friggin volume knob on that crap, them by God use it".
Tess Mar 9th 2007 10:33AM
Does it come in a longer length and what is the weight? This is a marketable product beyond the price range of most people right now. Why bring the music industry into the discussion? Life in American cities is enough reason. Ever been shot at?
SARAH Mar 9th 2007 10:35AM
You guys are some real idiots up top...let me guess you live in the midwest and listen to country music? i'm pretty sure the makers of that jacket were not aiming at hip hop artist or ghettos. it's amazing how rediculous some people can be.
warren garrison Mar 9th 2007 10:36AM
Am so glad Biggie and Tupac didn't have one, SOB's might still be around if they had, at least that's 2 down and, hmmmmmmm, how many more to go before we eliminate rap and hip hop for this world before it destroys it? If you want to listen to that crap I guess that's your prerogative but if you do then keep it in your vehicle, keep it in your home, DO NOT CONTAMINATE MY LIFE WITH YOUR GARBAGE. If the fools that claim to serve and protect us would get off their unproductive asses, they'd put the clamps on this crap. Takes a fool not to realize that a person riding up and down the street with a 9 under the seat and listening to the constant encouragement to bust a cap in someone's ass, IS GOING TO DO IT!!!! So get off your asses, you fools in the legal system and address this problem.
warren garrison Mar 9th 2007 10:40AM
Well Sarah, haven't heard a country song just lately that said anything about jerking your panties off and F'n you, about sucking this and licking that, and for sure I haven't heard one that encourages it's listeners to get their 9mm and leave shorty in a pool of blood, so get off your high horse girl and realize that damange that this crap is doing to society, BEFORE, you end up being it's target.
sator Mar 9th 2007 11:02AM
95% of rap is about about killing and selling drugs and your bitches and and rims maybe a couple artists are true hip-hop theres no run-dmc or public enemys any more who were poetic and positive!as for the jacket i dont think anyone should need this that is a civilian and the military already uses what they have supplied by the crappy government!
Sketchy Mar 9th 2007 11:04AM
Why are you guys talking about hip-hop culture? Shouldn't you be talking about the coat...? O.o
The coat seems cool. Looks like something that would be in a spy movie. I'd get it just because it's high-tech. It'd be nice if it was a bit longer though, like ankle length. It'd be like the Matrix.
Howard Mar 17th 2007 11:27PM
This Overcoat is a cover up developed by the current Bush and Vice President administration. It's purpose is to distract the general public from what is really going on in America and throughout the world.
As long as the masses are distracted from the reality of the politcal thugs robbing the people blind by spending billions of dollars per day in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the gas/oil scandal. It's not about the overcoat and the hip hops. It's about Bush our puppet president who only listen to his secret boss in executing their own personal goals to control the people through poverty and ignorant. Ecclesiastes:9:18 Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good.
