Lake of the Ozarks To Get A Chateau

Osage Beach, Missouri is about to get a large new hotel that may bring more tourism to the Lake of the Ozarks region which is popular in Missouri but not well known to those outside the region. The Chateau on the Lake of the Ozarks will take over a 30-acre waterfront location near the Grand Glaize Bridge. The 15-story hotel will have 320 rooms and suites and a spa. Construction should begin in spring 2008 and the hotel is set to open in 2010. The hotel is the 14th property in Missouri for John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts. The design of the hotel is inspired by Hammons' study of chateaus and castles around the world.
