New Zenith Watches For 2007

At Baselworld 2007 Zenith will show off a variety of tempting designs.
First up, the Star Sea collection for women. The watches uses the automatic El Primero caliber 4021 movement with 39 jewels, beating at 36,000 bph and a power reserve of 50 hours. The white gold rotor is stamped with the Zenith logo and star symbol. The watches have a small seconds-hand at 9 o'clock with a power reserve indicator from the hour axis, central seconds-hand and 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock. It comes in 18K yellow, white or rose gold with 21 .3 ct diamonds set in star shapes on the bezel. The 37.5mm watch has a mother-of-pearl dial set with six diamonds and nine pearls on the indices and there is a starfish opened dial in the 10 o'clock spot. It also has an AR coated sapphire crystal and display back.

The Zenith Defy Chrono Aero uses the automatic El Primero caliber 4000SC movement with 31 jewels, beating at 36,000 bph and a power reserve of 50 hours. The case is brushed stainless steel with a rose gold bezel. It is available in either a 46.5mm or 43mm size. The watches have a balance bridge is done in shock-absorbing Zenithium with an Incabloc anti-shock device.It comes in either a silver or black dial with a guilloche design.


The Zenith Defy Xtreme Gold & Titanium Collection includes four different styles. The Defy Xtreme Tourbillon Gold & Titanium has the automatic El Primero caliber 4035SX movement with Tourbillon. It has 35 jewels and he train wheel bridge, chronograph and cage bridges are done in shock-absorbing Zenithium. The Tourbillon carriage is at 11 o'clock and makes one turn per minute. There is a central seconds-hand with a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock and a 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock. The case measures 46.5mm and is done in black titanium with screw-in guilloche push-pieces in rose gold and black titanium. Like in the Open Stealth watches the dial is a multi-layered design made of Hesalite glass, carbon fiber and a nitrocellulosed nickel-coated dial plate. The propeller-shaped Tourbillon bridge is done in solid rose gold. The Defy Xtreme Open El Primero Chronograph Gold & Titanium has the automatic El Primero caliber 4021SX movement with 39 jewels. The Defy Xtreme Chronograph El Primero uses the automatic El Primero caliber 4000SX movement with 31 jewels. The Defy Xtreme Power Reserve Elite Gold & Titanium use the automatic Elite caliber 685SX movement with 38 jewels, beating at 28,800 bph and a power reserve of 50 hours. The case is 43mm and is done in titanium and gold.

The Zenith brand has really revamped their look (for the better) since the acquisition by LVMH. The fact that they're using the El Primero on all of their models (even the tourbillon) is commendable.
