Sunday Real Estate Round-Up

From the Real Estalker:
--Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers has put his Beverly HIlls Post Office home on the market for $6.997 million. You can watch a delightful flash tour at a website titled Villa Chili. Trust me, it's worth a sit through, this house is a peach and Kiedis has an impressive art collection.
--Randy Jackson of American Idol is selling his Tarzana home. It is listed at $3.199 million. It's our estate of the day later today.
--I must have missed this one before but apparently Merv Griffin's Carmel Valley home has been on the market for a while, it is listed at $6.2 million. You can check out the listing here.
--Mariska Hargitay and her husband have put their New York condo on the market for $6.495 million. You can see the listing here. They are also selling their Los Angeles home for $2.699 million. The listing for the hilltop charmer is here.

From the Rat and the Mouse:
--You can share a wall with Madonna. A ten bedroom home next door to Madonna's house in London is for sale for £5.75m. It has been used in a clinic and is need of major renovation. The listing is here.

From the NY Post's Gimme Shelter:
--Jon Bon Jovi put his seven-room Upper West Side condo on the market last November for $6.95 million and with no takers he has decided to rent it out. He is meanwhile looking to buy a six-bedroom penthouse duplex loft at the New Museum building on Mercer Street (it was our Estate of the Day a few weeks ago) with an asking price of $26.5 million.
--Lisa Bonder Kerkorian has pulled her Bridgehampton home which was listed for $13.9 million off the market.

From the NY Observer's Manhattan Transfers:
--Billionaire Karen Pritzker, heiress to the Hyatt hotel fortune, has picked up the two-bedroom penthouse at the Carlyle (a former Estate of the Day) for $12.5 million.
--Alexis Stewart has paid $16 million for her fourth and fifth apartments at Richard Meier's 165 Charles Street condo building. She already has a $19,119,000 three-unit spread in the building.
--Alan Quasha, board chairman of President George W. Bush's old oil firm, Harken Energy, has paid $6.175 million for a 14th-floor apartment at 580 Park Avenue. The apartment is below the duplex that Mr. Quasha bought two years ago for $8 million so he is likely building a massive triplex.
-- Eliot Ferguson, drummer for the band Gogol Bordello, has bought a $2.65 million apartment at Philip Johnson's Urban Glass House.

From Berg Properties Big Time Listings:
--Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete have put their house in the Summit (where Britney Spears recently bought) for $5.995 million. The pictureless listing is here.
-- Nicolas Cage, has put that Ghost Rider money to good use paying $8.5 million for another mansion in Las Vegas.
--Rapper Juicy J of Three 6 Mafia has paid exactly $2 million for a six-bedroom house in Sherman Oaks, California.
--Character actor Brian Geraghty has paid $675,000 for a cool-looking two-bedroom pod-like house in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills.

From the Real Estate Journal:
--Former boy band manager Louis J. Pearlman's home in Windemere, Florida has gone on the market for $12.5 million. The beautiful home, shown above, may be subject to foreclosure. It is two separate lots with a compound that includes ten bedrooms. The listing is here.

From the LA Times Hot Property:
--As we mentioned before, Larry King and his wife Shawn Southwick, have bought a new house in Beverly Hills for close to $12 million. Their current home is in escrow for more than its $7.2-million asking price.
--Former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has purchased a Calabasas home for $9.5 million.
