South End Contemporary, Estate of the Day

Today's estate is the penthouse at 1280 Washington St. in Boston's South End, one of my favorite old haunts. This penthouse has a huge 2,550 square foot roof garden that has separate dining relaxation and spa areas including a Jacuzzi and an outdoor shower, all with views of the city. This home was designed by Dennis Duffy and has three bedrooms, a screening room and a fitness room. The home belongs to Tom Gerace the founder of Gather.com and the home was designed for entertaining. The 5,900 square feet of space includes three bedrooms and the overall style is contemporary luxury. It is listed at $4.99 million. I live next door to this building and always wondered what the penthouse looked like. That is one amazing space. My 1100 sq ft could be a walk in closet in this property.
