Sorry, for $1,495.00 I can cut holes in the wall, create an alcove and insert my Bose speakers, which happen to produce the same quality... and cost over $1,000.00 less
Deal Or No Deal ??

$1495 and you get both of them? They'll fit right in with my Elvis pictures in the rear of the double-wide.
J. A. OWMECAT Feb 25th 2007 10:09AM
I have 6 inch deep speakers that mount on the wall, had them for years. When they get to be 1/4 inch and $200. call me.

I don't see any wires in the photo. Am I to believe that they're wireless or is it a fact that you don't want to dirty up the pic with wires hanging down? I'd love to buy a pair of wireless speakers that have the same quality sound as Bose....hope they become available in the not-to-distant future.

Pretty much the most gayest speakers in the world and the price is just super gay!
jk Feb 25th 2007 10:31AM
yikes! my husband and i just went speaker shopping yesterday and 1495 is a ridiculous amount to spend for speakers that still draw attention to themselves! you can by bose or klipsch speakers that are paintable and disappear into the wall or ceiling for a fraction of that price. what genious thought 1495 per pair was a good idea?!

I'm in the A/V business and I've never heard DNA's speakers but to compare them or say that they are the same quaility as Bose isn't saying to much. NO HIGHS NO LOWS MUST BE BOSE... that's a little jingle in the industry.
Christie Feb 26th 2007 6:11PM
Nice idea. Price is too high. The guy using the "gay" word is a homophobic idiot.

Another techical wonder priced beyond the reach of the ordinary person. So I will have to wait for the pice to come down to an afordable level. Then as a member of the ordinary people I can enjoy what is the pleasure of the rich. I think that if new technology was priced lower then the inventor or maker of it would make far more money.

The open E string on a bass guitar produces a frequency of 34 hertz. These speakers only go down to 70 hertz. This is not normally the acceptable frequency output of a $1,500.00 speaker. The fact that people here are comparing them to Bose as a benchmark, shows that there are enough people who are deficient enough in speaker knowledge, to make a product like this successful. Bose never has and never will, make a small speaker that makes Stereophile's list of recommended components. Although, radio shack was able to make a $150.00 portable CD player that did make the list. I include this fact to demonstrate that products are reviewed based on performance, not name or misconceived public opinion. At one time, Bose did make a speaker called the 901 that garnered some accolades amongst those educated in Hi-Fi. That was obviously by accident as Bose has never come close (in the some thirty odd years since) to making such a product again.

I just bought Orbs (8 Tiny 4" sphereical speakers with a 12" Sub-woofer) for less and they sound great.
You have to look for them in the room because they hide so well.
These "flat" speakers are not an item for smart shoppers, but for people with more money than brains-which, believe it or not, is a very common malady. How else do you explain the Hummer?

I just bougt Orb speakers (8 4" spheres with a 12" sub-woofer) that hide very nicely in the room. Of course when you need small you have to be willing to trade some performance. The orbs do fine for the price.
These "flat" speakers are not for the smart shopper at all, but for those with more money than brains. This, believe it or not, is a VERY common malady. How else do you explain the Hummer?

#1. Richard Glass - Who are you to define normal? Being gay is not a BEHAVIOR. It is also not a choice you ASS.
Steve Feb 25th 2007 12:26PM
"GOD" Did I ever luck out. Seeing the price and the speakers, I ran to my stock's and bonds and made sure I didnt have any DNA Sonic stock. WOW, What a sure way of killing a company..
RICHARD GLASS Feb 25th 2007 11:56AM
DEAREST CHRISTY.HMMM, NOW WHO IS NAME- CALLING? I STAND BY WHAT I SAID.............BILLIONS OF PEOPLE WORLDWIDE THINK normal MEANS CERTAIN THINGS ARE SUPPOSED TO GO CERTAIN PLACES ONLY..........CASE CLOSED.

I am in the high end A/V business. This is an industry filled with niche products that serve certain purposes for certain people. While these speakers might not be for everyone there are few speakers that are. Speakers are a very personal thing, especially for those with a discerning ear, and discerning taste. These speakers are in the lower to mid price point for quality speakers these days. The industry standard for audiophile sound is still floor standing speakers, while in-wall, on-wall, and in-ceiling speakers struggle to perform at the highest of levels. Many people put down what they don't understand. I guess this is why there is a market for both Mercedes Benz and Buick. By the way, a professional installer would run the speakers wires behind the walls to the source, clearly that is what was done here.

WOW Christie, you really have a "gay" problem. Don't take things so seriously, you'll have a heart attack.
