Beautiful Places is offering a trip to France March 21 to April 6 to taste the 2006 vintage. Renaud Ruer, one of Bordeaux's top wine negocients, is your guide for three days of tasting and ranking the vintages. Each day involves a visit to a different chateau and a gourmet lunch. Accommodations are at Chateau des Amis located in St. Emilion. You stay in a historic four-bedroom villa which has views of the local vineyards. The trip costs around $20,400 for four to eight people.

Date correction: the En Preneur package is available from March 31-April 6. Lots of other epicurean excursions and fabulous homes available in Napa/Sonoma.

Looks like a great trip. Living in Bordeaux I know it can get quite crowded during the "en primeur"tastings. If you would like to tour bordeaux and its Classified Growths in an other period I would likt to sugest The Bordeaux Wine Experience, a company secialising in wine and culinary tours to the Bordeaux region: http://www.BXWINEX.com.
