From the NY Observer's Manhattan Transfers:
--A 101-year-old mansion at 47 East 68th Street has been sold for a $19 million to Carlos Alejandro Pérez Dávila. The townhouse was listed last spring for $26.8 million. The 12,000-square-foot house is going to be renovated for use as a single family.
--The flipping has already begun at 50 Gramercy Park North. The condo development was built in conjunction with the redevelopment of the Gramercy Park Hotel. One of the developers. Michael Fuchs, has put an eighth-floor sponsor unit at 50 Gramercy Park North on the market for$14.5 million, he paid $9,062,400 for the unit. The listing is here.
--The Wilf family, a New Jersey–based real-estate clan, has sold its nine-room apartment at the Chatham on East 65th Street for $7.2 million.

--Michael Stipe has paid $5.75 million for Casey Affleck's three-bedroom, 31/2-bath TriBeCa penthouse loft .
--The one-bedroom apartment of legendary architect Philip Johnson is on the market for $2.5 million.The home has a coffered living-room ceiling and marble floors and a powder room decorated with Andy Warhol's "cow wallpaper" that features the artist's autograph on the fabric. The listing is here.
--Famed baby photographer Anne Geddes has just sold her 11th-floor condo at 515 Park Ave. for $12.8 million.

--Billionaire investor Kirk Kerkorian has cut $7 million off his Beverly Hills home. He is now asking $18 million for the 30-acre property. The listing is here.
--Photographer and director David LaChapelle is looking to sell his Manhattan apartment for just under $2 million. It is our estate of the day, later today
-- Matthew Maxwell Kennedy, and his wife, Vicki, have sold their Cape Cod summer home for nearly $6 million -- just under its asking price.

--Actress Joanna Kerns, has sold her house in Los Angeles' Pacific Palisades neighborhood for $1,655,000.
--Major-league baseball catcher Jason Kendall has paid $7,120,000 for a house Pacific Palisades area that is next door to his existing house.

From the LA Times Hot Property:
--Tom Jones has finally sold his Bel-Air house for close to its $4.25-million asking price.
--Falcon Lair, the 1924 Benedict Canyon home of early screen star Rudolph Valentino, was sold a few weeks ago to an Orange County family for close to its $5.9-million asking price and will undergo an extensive renovation.
--Frank Ryan, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon and TV personality, has picked up a mountaintop home on 9 acres in Malibu less than $3 million. The home is next door to his Bony Pony Ranch, which is used by underprivileged youngsters.
--A home once lived in by both Rita Hayworth and Jean Harlow is now listed at nearly $4.3 million. The listing is here.
