I am a bit of a sun bunny so I don't often venture too far into the colder areas but there are some serious real estate values in colder areas. Today's estate is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This lovely Georgian Revival which was built in 1917 has eight bedrooms and nearly 9,000 square feet of space. The home has been updated and some rooms such as the gourmet kitchen and the library are a bit heavy on the dark wood but in keeping with the overall look of the home. This sprawling home sits on less than an acre but it does have a matching carriage house and boasts impressive lake and skyline views. it is listed at $4.5 million. We used to live directly across from this house on the east side of Lake of the Isles. When we go for walks, my wife and I used love looking at the outside of this home. There are so many beautiful homes in this area. What's really amazing how the prices have skyrocketed! In the early 90's when we lived there, I don't remember any home in the neighborhood going for even close to a million dollars and now this one is nearly $5 million.
