At the recent
ZAP festival one of my favorite wines was the 2005 Home Ranch Zinfandel from Seghesio.
Seghesio also puts on fun events for their Centennial Club members. Their upcoming wine release party on February 24 offers a chance to taste both the Home Ranch Zinfandel along with the 2005 Costiera Pinot Noir. The party has a Cuban theme that includes Cuban slow-roasted pork, black beans and rice, a Cuban salad, and one of my favorites, fried plantains. There is also an outdoor cigar bar lounge that will be serving their Port and Omaggio. Tickets are $15 for Centennial Club members and $20 for guests. What a great excuse to plan a trip to Healdsburg.
