A Sneak Peek Inside Kanye West's Apartment

When celebrities decorate their homes, they tend to go all out with their designs. They have plenty of money on hand to do so, of course, but more importantly, these celebs are looking to make their homes into retreats that can serve as a sanctuary in a world filled with paparazzi. Singer Kanye West's brand-new New York apartment, which is being designed by Claudio Silvestrin, is tranquil and minimalist to an extreme degree, with the sort of layout that only a ridiculous amount of money can buy.

UHHH People. I think its kinda clear that its just scale model of the
apartment with just how everything looks without anything. Not the
real apartment. But me I can't really get a good feel about the place
until I see all tne stuff in it. So far C-.

i do radio in arizona kanye makes his own sense..... the layout aint that bad... and what difference does it make if he loses money???? hes got plenty of it..... and the value is gonna go down.... not to zero though......

its so disgusting that rappers can make this kind of money, rap music is so 4th grade and its sickening that people pay these people millions for no reason at all, rap isnt music its just a bunch of retarded words put together with a tune, it takes no talent to be a rapper and i would love to see one of these rappers actually work for a living instead of living off of stupidity tunes which they produce and sell to the thugs, rap music is trash

i think this looks ridiculous. It doesn't look relaxing at all. We, black people, get so happy when we get a few dollars, we just do stupid things. i mean, do he even stay at this place? it looks pointless and plain. i'm not being a hater, i just wanna know why we can't keep it simple, its okay to buy nice things, but we over do it and can't even pronounce half the shit we buy

Kanye, you have enough money (Hear em say) to invest in something much better. Don't you deserve that! Did you take over someone's financial burden or does someone you know live in the area? Maybe Kanye had it done all in white so he'd look like a 'spot'?
This way no matter how many people are they would know exactly where he was because he stands out from the all white rooms?
That trough....wtf? Is that also the toilet, sink, urinal trough?
I didn't see a toilet in this design either so maybe he just had the trough put in as a one-stop-shopping thing....hang it over the side.
(hate to see the size of that urinal cake!)

Even the Architect doesn't like this apartment!!

Silvestrin is the designer, the architect of record is Charles Rose, out of Somerville, MA. Or, should I say out of Cambridge, because the Harvard-diploma'd
architect is a typical Cambridge Intellectual Snob and quite an ass too.

Anyway, he hired Silvestrin and then in an interview with a Portland, OR newspaper, stated how boring he felt the minimalism was. (he doesn't like minimalism). Rose's designs are asymetric and organic, though, if you look at a lot of his work you'll see he's a one trick pony. Rose has been name dropping Kanye West for the last year - he's a true egomaniac.
