Cinderella Royal Castle Suite
Every little seven-year-old girl would love to stay in Cinderella's Castle, and now some very lucky guests can. Unused space in Walt Disney World's Cinderella Castle has been turned in to the "Suite of a Million Dreams." Here's how it works: at some random place at one of the Disney properties at some random time, a winner will be selected to spend that night in the suite. Though it's said to be random, I'm sure there are some very wealthy fathers out there who would do anything for their daughter to crash in the castle, and Disney would probably welcome these suggestions. But, if you read the press release, notice that the estimated value of the one night stay is only $587. Some more pictures after the jump, including the most uncomfortable looking toilet ever. Many thanks to reader John for the tip!

NO this was never Walt's suite. Walt died before the park was open. Disney dreamers did a remarkable job on this. This is a VERY small area. As recent as 2005 this space was nothing but concrete (floor) and steel beams totally covered with dust from decades of non-use. I don't believe this area was ever used it has just been used as tinkerbell's escape. I was lucky enough to help with this transformation and it is beyond beautiful.

So how many couples will try to get into that room for a little role playing? Forget the little girls...they don't know the story...we grown women are the ones that grew up on those fairy tales.

I wonder if this is the suite that Walt built for his personal use? He died without ever using it.

Walt's "apartment" (really a sort of live-in office) was never furnished and used when he was alive. This space has been used for all kinds of things over the years, including storage. Completion as livable space only took place in the last year or so, and they've just started using it for this purpose.
That's right, all the furnishing you see in the photos are less than 2 years old.

Oh, but to dream. I have three little girls who would be in heaven if they could stay in that room. We hope to one day be able to afford a trip to Disney and to stay in that room would be the icing on the cake.

How very, very cool!!!
I agree with the big girl post. I grew up with the original Mickey Mouse Club and fantasized about living at Disney. When I got older, I wanted to work there. I still do. I want to stay in that room. Do I have to rustle up a little girl to walk around the park in hopes of improving my odds at a random pick? All I have are teen aged boys. Can I just pay my way?

Well you got one thing right, every seven-year old little girl would love to stay in Cinderella's castle.. that's EVERY girl (rich or poor). You stated, "Theres wealthy fathers out there who would do anything for their daughter to crash in the castle & Disney would probably welcome these suggestions." Well what about the unwealthy fathers & mothers who would do anything for their daughter/'s to crash in the castle?? I know Walt Disney is expensive but for those of us that aren't wealthy, we save our money so that we can afford places such as Disney for our kids. Then there's some that can't even do that, save money. So it shouldn't even be about whether or not you have money, or what wealthy fathers will do for their little girls..who cares! It's about, ALL little girls dreams to stay in Cinderella's castle.

I DONT THINK ITS JUST FOR CHILDREN. I AM GETTING MARRIED THIS YEAR AND I WOULD FEEL LIKE A PRINCESS ON MY HONEYMOON IF I COULD STAY THEIR. IT IS THE ULTIMATE FANTASY AND A BEAUTIFUL HONEYMOON SUITE I STILL ENJOY DISNEY AND EPCOT.

That room would be a dream come true for our family...we visit disney from Buffalo NY about 3 times a year because we just love it soooo much...we arent rich people but the feeling of being a kid and the feeling of our kids being prince and princesses is just a high for us..we never want to leave!! Staying in that castle has always been a dream and wondered if it would ever be made reality...now it could be...We are not rich people by any means but I would pay the 587.00 just to stay...Can u actually pay that amount and stay?? and how do you do it?? who do you contact??...my mother and father would just be ecstatic along with the other 5 of us!!The castle room just looks amazing!!

Why should it only be every "little girls" dream? I have been facinated with castles since I was a little boy. I have a collection of minature castles of Eurpoe and at one point my home was furnished like a castle. This stay would also be an older mans dream come true!!!!!!!!!!!

People, Walt Disney never had an office at Disney World. He died before any construction ever took place for the park.
levi jenkins Jan 26th 2007 8:57AM
like most things "Disney" and unlike Walt Disney dreamed, The castle is out of reach for most people. So let's not make a big deal out of it for the nest month or so!
Dee Jan 26th 2007 8:58AM
Is this castle just for little girls? I grew up on cinderella and I have no kids, but would love to take a "vacation" to some place unusual!
Rhonda Hardy Jan 26th 2007 9:04AM
I have a 9 yr old son & and he would love to stay in the castle & so would I and I'm 40. Disney's not just for the kids. We have never been to Disney World (can't afford it) But if we can ever make it and afford it, the castle would be the ultimate.
Thank You.

Walt's 'apartment' that someone was referring to was actually at Disneyland.
princessjobie Jan 26th 2007 9:09AM

You are chosen randomly through a computer process. Anyone rich middle or whatever can get it. If you are in the park in the right place at the right time you can win a night in the room Why do so many choose to make it a money thing. Yeah it expensive to go to Disney but its also expensive to run the park. Value for money I think its there.
