We love Engadget's
coverage of CES just as much as we love seeing some of the hot new gadgets to come out of it. Our feeling for
the Jewelry PC are not quite that strong, despite the fact that it is, according to the makers at Moneual labs, the "world's first million dollar personal computer." It doesn't look that impressive even though it includes real diamonds and other jewels, but it runs "a Core 2 Duo or Athlon 64 FX, Windows Vista Ultimate, 8GB of DRAM, NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTX 768MB of RAM, 2TB of 7,200 SATA storage, Blu-ray or HD DVD drive and ... [has] a 7-inch built-in screen, TV tuner and 7.1-channel sound." Unless you like the really traditional (bordering on old-fashioned) look of the computer, you might simply be better off going for a flashier, more modern computer and buying your diamonds separately.
