Heart-Shaped Tub Romances Your Bathroom
Heart-shaped bathtubs aren't just for the Poconos anymore. You can add a two-person heart-shaped whirlpool bath to your own home. The tub has six jets total including two recessed Rotary Massage Jets for back and torso therapy. It sells for $2,265.90 and has options such as a decorative rim kit, comfort pillow and remote pump option. I would love to see how someone integrates this into their home.[via Home Improvement Ideas]

why would they position the handles right behind your back? duh!!
Nance Jan 16th 2007 5:06PM
Those aren't handles on the back of the tub - they are jets so that you can feel the pressure of the water coming on your back....DUH!!!!!!!!!!

Those aren't handles on the back of the tub they are the jets so that when you lean back you feel the pressure of the water.....that's the whole idea about a jacuzzi tub.....DUH!!!!!!!!!!!

As a realtor I think I just read the funniest comment ever! You're going to buy one of these tubs as a selling perk?? HAHA Wow!!! Would a tub of this size fit in your trailer man?
Janet Jan 16th 2007 7:09PM
I think the tub is a very neat idea. I would buy it for my bathroom just because it is shaped like a heart and is red. Very different.
Larry Rugg Jan 16th 2007 7:29PM
impressive.....but I think you are going to need more than one water heater to fill this tub.

seems a lot of us got married in the Poconos. the heart theme place was "Cove Haven"........the memories of the tub lasted longer than the marriage
annie Jan 16th 2007 7:46PM
i think it's perfect. Instead of going to the poconos, i can have a romantice evening every night with my spouse.

Not realistic enough. Yeah, it's _close_ to the shape of an actual human heart but it's missing the necessary arteries and valve extensions. Now, if its whirlpool jets shot out real blood like a _real_ heart, I'd buy it right away

I used one in the poconos. It was roughly 2 1/2 ft deep on a platform. It was nice. The top of the heart is perfect for laying against and fits two or three very nicely in either "nook". I'd say if you are broad shouldered like me, opt for the pillow otherwise you'll find yourself sitting in the seat of your average Japanese car (Smushed). Other than that, these tubs are as fun as you can imagine with the right partner(s). Don't forget the bubbles and wine...

For all of you who think that tub is so cute, think twice before you buy one. I have one of those heart shaped tubs. It takes more than a half hour to fill it up, I didn't know when I bought it that my current hot water heater would not support such a big tub, so I had to buy an additional water heater. It gets very hot, so you really can't stay in it longer than 10 to 15 minutes, it takes another half hour to drain it and you have to get in it to clean it. So much for cute!
