Tod's Miky Easy Media Bag, Handbag of the Day
Tod's Miky Easy Media Bag reminds me almost exactly of one of my favorite purses, a bag from Coach. The shape is only slightly different and this purse has a gathered top with a magnetic snap closure, while the other bag has a zip top, but the look and feel are almost identical. The most noticeable trait that this bag shares with the older one I have in mind is the color. The bright sky blue shade of the leather is noticeable enough to stand out but incredibly easy to pair with everything from dark suit trousers to slim fitting jeans. It's a color that never really goes out of style, but still offers something different than black, brown and white. It measures 16" x 11.5" x 3.5." Price: $1,295.

I have several Tods bags and I like the shape, and it is obviously of wonderful craftmanship. But the color is very uniform and I think it would look better slightly distressed. It is almost too perfect.

I'm pretty sure that I saw a purse like this at Wal-Mart, sometime around 1988. I'm guessing it was about $20. I just can't get behind this one.
