Money Doesn't Buy Manners
Paris Hilton claimed that she was broke when she first moved to Los Angeles. Not too many people believed her at the time, so hopefully that is not going to be her excuse as to why she skipped out on a $7.70 bill at Sloanes Cafe in Sydney. Apparently, at the restaurant (which is worth a stop if you're in Paddington) Paris' publicist paid for a couple of burgers, but not the mineral water and frappe that Paris decided to add to her meal. The heiress waltzed out with her crew -- without paying for the drinks.

Cher Jan 8th 2007 11:09AM
First off, to all of you who leave your comments and cannot spell, I say to you.......try spellcheck for God's sake....you're downing Paris for being so dumb, yet you guys are mis-spelling every other word...kind of making yourselves look dumb here! But I do agree with many of you, she is just plain "TRASH"..Cher

Only in America can no talent people such as Paris and Kfed, etc. become famous. Incredible. I hope her ''15 minutes'' of fame come to an end very very soon!!
SANDY Jan 8th 2007 12:05AM
MARK, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT, PARIS HAS PLENTY OF CLASS...IT'S JUST LOW CLASS. HOW UNFORTUNATE THAT SHE HAS OPPORTUNITIES GALORE, BUT DOESN'T HAVE A CLUE HOW TO UTILIZE THEM FOR THE GOOD OF HERSELF OR ANYONE ELSE. PARIS NEEDS A FACE-LIFE AS WELL AS A MORALS LIFT AND A BRAIN LIFT! LOL

PARIS IS PARIS SHE COULD DO THAT WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL SHE PROBABLY DIDN'T DO IT INTENTIONALLY
Michelle Jan 7th 2007 10:04AM
It's a shame our society still gives privlege to the wealthy. The average Joe would of had the police called on them.Even though it was a small amount someone still pays for it. It is passed on to the consumer by raising prices. These places need to prosecute everyone equally. No discrimination. P.S. Her parents should be pretty ashamed of her!
Rod Jan 7th 2007 10:09AM
Paris is proof positive that abortion should be legal to at least 25 years of age.
Renee Jan 7th 2007 11:03PM
Paris is not pretty she's ugly to the max open your eyes people. She has nothing she is trash.
Tammy Jan 7th 2007 2:18PM
Just because she's famous, doesn't give her the right to skip out on her bill. If, it was anybody else we would of been hauled in and put in front of a judge to explain why we stoled.
Donna Jan 7th 2007 10:41AM
Seems easy to say alot about people you don't even know...no matter what is written, also seems the media spends alot of time telling us about her..the point is if you aren't walking in her shoes ..don't judge!
Barb Jan 7th 2007 10:11AM
Come on people. You know darn well if you had Paris' money you would be out there acting up too.
Whatever happened to "count your blessings"?
Stop hating & be grateful for what you have.
She pays a price for her fame. She has no privacy & people hate her for petty reasons.

Ms Hilton is annoying at best, and I agree with the majority that there is absolutely no reason why she is famous, except for the fact that as much energy as people put into disliking her, it calls more attention to her. The media are just feeding us more of what we want, someone to throw rocks at! If we all took that energy back and paid more attention to the real people of this world, such as our teachers, firefighters, soldiers, policemen, doctors, nurses, etc then people like her would be insignificant in our lives.

I am sick and tired of hearing of and seeing this blonde tramps splashing the news screen of my computer each day. Paris does nothing to help anyone, nor does she contribute to living. She is a drunk, with her father's money and she needs to leave the USA and go where her name is.... Paris, France. America does not want her or need her.
Leah Jan 7th 2007 1:07PM
I think it was a mistake, the guy paid for part of the food and she probably just assumed it was all covered. I dont think she deserves to be called all these names for a simple mistake and I'm sure she's good for it, it's not like the restaurant is going under due to her not paying for 2 drinks. Why are people so critical and ready to hate?
gallant Jan 7th 2007 10:17AM
Hehehe.... Paris. Rich girl, kinda loose morals, kinda breaks the "rules". I suspect 99% of us would just love to have her money, and maybe 75% of us figure we'd handle the fame and money with considerably more class. In her world, she's "it", she's all that and a bag of chips. In our world, there's always somebody richer to envy (this is America) or poorer to feel sorry for. She's still a kid, but time will not give her sensibility, hey, she's learning how to be RICH. LOL
Lauretta Jan 7th 2007 12:43PM
It doesn't matter to me if she had class, or if she is rich. I wish you would focus on the true nature of the issue, and that she walked out from paying a bill like some of you might have done prior, but your not well known therefore you are not in the news.
I believe what could have happened is that her publicist paid the bill, and at last minute she added other items that were not brought up until after the fact of her leaving. Which it is not her fault if the publicist paid for the meal. It sounds like a misunderstanding to me.
I am not not against or for Paris, but I believe that there is always more to the story then what gets told....
Christy Jan 7th 2007 10:19AM
Hmmm...don't you think that it's possible that since her publicist paid for the rest of her meal that she might have possibly thought that everything had been paid for? I don't necessarily like or dislike Paris Hilton, but the media goes a little too far. It's not like she doesn't have $7.70. I think it was just a mistake.

What's up with Jan spamming every one of these boards with nasty comments? Don't you have anything better to do? Get a life.
Karin Jan 7th 2007 10:22AM
when I was Paris's age, I was 6 mos pregnant with a 3 year old. My son, who is a few years older than Paris has a wife and 2 small children...so, um, what's wrong with this picture???? I don't see any pictures of my son on TV or in tha papers or plastered all over the newsstand, but, then again, he's busy being a husband and a daddy and working hard to take care of business, now there's something worth knowing about. I'd love to hear about us "plain folks" and what we do to enhance the world around us. Phooey on Paris, I have a granddaughter that's much much prettier, and she's got class.
