Money Doesn't Buy Manners

Paris Hilton claimed that she was broke when she first moved to Los Angeles. Not too many people believed her at the time, so hopefully that is not going to be her excuse as to why she skipped out on a $7.70 bill at Sloanes Cafe in Sydney. Apparently, at the restaurant (which is worth a stop if you're in Paddington) Paris' publicist paid for a couple of burgers, but not the mineral water and frappe that Paris decided to add to her meal. The heiress waltzed out with her crew -- without paying for the drinks.

whatever paris is...she makes us laugh ...i find her to be a beautiful entertaining young woman...big deal someone overlooked a $7 bill at a restaurant...it was theyre responsibility to correct the misunderstanding...did they really need to alert the media about something so trivial? they did so to increase business and profit from paris' notoriety..i for one love watching her show and her antics make me laugh ...bravo paris..you go girl

Paris isn't my favorite person but I have no feeling one way or another about her, some of you have so much hate and venom torwards her. First of all, "trailer trash"? Uh, shes not from the South, which is a phrase given to Southern people FROM the South who have the misfortune to be poor, uneducated and live in a trailer, nobody in her family has ever been poor or from any Hick part of the country. Second of all, as bad mannered as she is, alot of people not in and in the public eye are just as bad mannered. Right, she has no talent except for making a video of herself having sex and then being in a dumb wax museum movie. But do I feel hate and venom towards her? No, I don't even know her so I couldn't waste the energy.

I cant believe there are some here that would see any kind of talent in this girl?? Yea ok she has a nice figure but thats it! Its sicking to me and to all of us smart women (men dont get it) that Parisite Hilton is a nothing a talentless piece of nothing. Yes, she is only famous because she is rich and can travel and party as her job! What the heck? If she wants respect from people, she needs to do something smart with her money. Look at Angelina and Brad, Look at Oprah....god, get over yourself already, Paris and grow-up! There are people out there stressing over how they will make there rent payment at the end of the month, and the only problem Paris has is where will I party tonight?? Why do we allow this girl and others like Britney and Lindsey, to become so over-rated?? Dont you all see something wrong with this? Everytime I turn on the darn TV, I see one of these girl and the news is usually something so insignificant..like they took a crap 3 times in one day...who freakin cares??!! I am sick of all of it already...please for the sake of sanity, lets stop placing these girls (especially paris) high on there pedestals..lets stop being interested and maybe they will all go away! Amen!

I can't say that anyone born under the exact same circumstances Paris Hilton was blessed to be born under, would react any differently. Don't be so quick to judge, les ye be judge. Ask yourself this, would you behave any differently? I think not. Paris has only known one thing her whole life and that's how to live life to its fullest. She's a little on the wild side, but who isn't at that age. Ask yourself how do you behave in public? Plus if she wasn't well liked by the public the Paparazzi wouldn't be following her like they do, nor would she be photographed as much as she is. Yes she's one of the most photographed out there, and if you don't want to see her look the other way.. it's that simple!

Paris along with Brittney is responcible for the 'scanktification' of America. Everything they do is watched and emulated by young girls from 8 to 25. She could have chosen to be a real lady a real princess but for some reason she shose Scankdom. This is white trash and I predict a terrible outcome for her future unless she drastically changes her ways. She is sexy but in a very sleazy way. I wouldn't take her home for my mom to meet but I would take her home for sure.

Don't understand why everyone is hating on Paris. As, if, you or your kids would behave any different born under the same circumstances. Let the girl live. And quit your judging. I'm not crazy about her, but I don't hate her for being blessed. I either deal with it or I ignore it... it's that simple. And quit your judging... Look at yourself in the mirror first.

Wow, I wish the people of this blog would help with world peace! Seriously, can't you people find anything else to complain about? Paris is a young, beautiful, girl enjoying life. She doesn't have to appologize to anyone for being born into a wealthy family. If all of you angry people had the same attitude as Paris, the world would be a much happier place! Go chase the people that are pushing drugs on our kids, go help victims of hurricane Katrina,(that still don't have homes), find the people that are shooting each other in gang related activity!!! Come on' people, get a life.

she's so used to getting comped that she probably just thought that her sheer presence would pay for the publicity received by the cafe. She's right Sloanes does have their name on the www and they also look gracious for allowing the hefeir for getting away with it!She's a spoiled brat who won't appreciate anything or anybody till she really has to work for it

I can't believe such a big fuss over nothing. And by that I mean the item itself - (SO WHAT - did anybody think maybe she thought her publicist paid for what she'd added too?) - but all of the comments, and so many of them BAD. Who cares - how important is any of this anyway - I wouldn't even bother writing in except I just want to say GET REAL PEOPLE - it's because everybody makes such a big fuss out of nothing that the stories and complaints go on and on.

I think it's safe to assume it was a mistake...why would she stiff a rest. for $7? She has so much money.
I can't imagine living the kind of life where everything you do is public knowledge, and you're judged for EVERYTHING you do.
As great as it may appear to be a beautiful heiress, I could never handle being under a microscope like she is, it sounds like so many of you hate her and none of us even know her.

Hey, the publicist was supposed to pick up the tab (as well as keep tabs on what he or she was paying for), not Paris. That was the understanding, from my understanding of the above story. Paris probably doesn't carry money or credit cards, or even the quickie debit cards. Besides, the restaurant knows whom to go after... and they've got the publicist's card number on file, no?
