Money Doesn't Buy Manners

Paris Hilton claimed that she was broke when she first moved to Los Angeles. Not too many people believed her at the time, so hopefully that is not going to be her excuse as to why she skipped out on a $7.70 bill at Sloanes Cafe in Sydney. Apparently, at the restaurant (which is worth a stop if you're in Paddington) Paris' publicist paid for a couple of burgers, but not the mineral water and frappe that Paris decided to add to her meal. The heiress waltzed out with her crew -- without paying for the drinks.

Typical for someone like Paris. It's sad that her monther didn't raise her with just a bit of class. But I guess when you are rich in America...who needs class???

She's trash, plain and simple. If she wasn't rich and (in)famous, no one would think she was pretty (she's not). She'd be just another classless, big-nosed, over-bleached, fake blue contact-wearing, bone-thin blonde. Maybe if we all ignore her she'll go away...

Maybe she will one day suffer an epiphony and do something beneficial with her money... something REALLY newsworthy. She has already proven she will never earn an academy award... and whatever she and her sister deisign isn't carries in places EVERYONE shops at LOL! Let's just all realize that, when it comes down to reality, Ms. Hilton is nothing but wealthy trailor trash....

Sorry Mark, Paris is NOT hot, not smart and definitely not worthy of any news story. There are plenty of wealthy unattractive people out there - who DO pay their bills and go about their business unremarked thank God. As far as Paris Hilton is concerned - Man I don't care!

What with all the publicity Paris is getting for walking out, Sloans should be paying her! Although its generally not cool to walk out on tabs, when you're Paris Hilton you are a walking financial commodity so wherever you park your assets, there will be some advertisement and the resulting ching-ching associated with it. What is the media's fascination with these silver-spoon pukes. My experience is that no one is really interested in their low-class existance. Why does the media keep pushing them at us--stupid media--cover someone worthwhile with talent or who is making the world a better place to live.

I wonder why the restaurant didn't pursue her for the money she owed. I will never understand the behaviours of the rich and famous. If money were an issue with her, she would HAVE to be polite and intelligent to get what she wants. Instead, with money, you can be as dumb and rude as possible, and still get anything. It's all just so curious...

I love the "Paris is hot" comments! Paris is a sad reminder of how messed up our society is...when she is in the news more than truly accomplished, inspirational or educational people, what's next, I wonder? With hope the famous line from the movie Casablanca does not apply here... I hope we do not "always have Paris."

Mark, Why don't you go and listen to your Howard Stern or K-Fed cd and let the adults talk here. Paris Hilton is just plain abusive to the American public, doing whatever, whenever she wants, but then again she is constantly in the public spotlight because we continually put her there.We need to stop making these total losers wealthy and famous by putting them at the center of attention. It works with kids and certainly it will work with their infant mentality.
