Louis Vuitton Miroir Alma GM, Handbag of the Day
The Miroir line from Louis Vuitton is going to be a popular one this year as it represents a "best of" collection of bags with a new twist added to them. The line includes some of Louis Vuitton's most iconic purses, including the Speedy, Alma and Pochette, redone in metallic silver and gold PVC. Even though the official launch of the line was December 1st, we hear that there is still a significant waitlist for these pieces of arm candy. If, however, you're a celebrity or friends with one (like Kim Kardashian, pictured, is) your wait for a bag will be considerably shorter. Kim is holding the Louis Vuitton Miroir Alma GM ($2,100) in silver.

I think this bag is a great twist on a very historic classic. Loius Vuitton first launched their products in the early 1900's as luggage for the wealthy, and now has made smart sensible handbags for us commoners! How cool is that? Now everyone can enjoy Louis - not just the rich or nouveau riche. I love my Louis Vuitton Alma in the classic LV logo and leather design. Louis bags have been in style for over 100 years and they are as timeless as Jackie Kennedy's pearls!

Louis Vuitton is over the top. One of the very few memebers of the true luxury and status elete, Louis has been doing it about as long as other members of this exclusive club (think Gucci, Chanel, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Bentley and a few others.) LV has in recent years become more accessible to the "merely-rich" (as opposed to the so-rich-we-can't-remember-where-the-money-came-from-Rich =) LV's biggest challenge is to combat counterfeiters who would cheapen the brand.
