New iPad Luxury Tower for Dubai Announced

If you ever find yourself wondering where on earth the next luxury residential tower is going to be built, just take a moment or two to check out the architectural scene in Dubai because the odds are good that they're planning something there. Omniyat Properties has just announced a new project inspired by the Apple iPod. The "iPad residential tower" will be built in Business Bay and will feature 200+ units in a building that is actually shaped like an iPod attache to a docking station. The designer firm handling the project is James Law Cybertecture International, based in Hong Kong. Engadget said that no sketches have yet been released, but the building should be done by 2009.

Thats wicked awesome! It is a great idea, but it seems to expensive> I would be fine just having one ipod to listen to. Pumpkin pie rulezzzzz!!!

Well, it's not the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard but it's close. It'll probably fly. I'm sure there are people out there who want to sleep or make love in an ipod.

What!? That is messed up! So, since I don't have an Ipod, I can't stay at that hotel. By the way, have any of you ever met a person who doesn't have an Ipod? All I have is a 1990 Sony walkman. Who cares about Ipods?!

In the very near future, Ipods are going to be electronic dinos...finito. It will be the same as walking into a building that looks like a walkman.

Hmm well I guess it is not that bad of an idea..... Though ipods do not have many colors..... I'm sure that people would pay big bucks for a room at that place.....

Hey why stop with what they have done already make a hotel designed around a car or even a fast food franchise :D who knows maybe people would like that....... It's a creative idea but it sounds silly.
