Ashton's Christmas Gift to Demi
We mentioned the Peter Beard Limited Edition Art Book a while ago, but with only 2,250 books available, we assumed that they would sell out to collectors quietly. This was definitely not the case, as the gossip magazines/blogs are reporting that Ashton Kucher just picked one up this week as a Christmas gift for Demi Moore. He bought it at Barney's in Beverly Hills for $2,500. The book has over 500 pages of photographs and diary entries from Beard and each copy has been signed by Beard himself. A stand is included with purchase so that the book can be showcased more elegantly than the average coffee table book.

Must be nice to spend that much and hell being married to Demi isn't too shabby either.

Too bad that money didn't go for better things like feeding and clothing people in need. The rich don't know what to do with themselves.

Sher, maybe they did give to their favorite charity. Who are you to judge what they spend their money on? Like you wouldn't buy nice things if you could afford them!
Ruth Dec 15th 2006 12:29AM
Who is anybody to judge how someone else spends thier money? Enjoy the book!!

I really didn't think that $2500 was a terribly huge amount for him to spend in light of how much he actually has that he could have spent. There isn't a thing wrong with what he spent for a gift. He has it, he can spend it however he wants to.

What a wonderfully thoughtful gift...classy and memorable!

What a wonderful gift! He's right, it is perfect. Elegant, classy, something that they can look at 20 years from now and take them back to this time in their lives.

All of you are right, stop hitting on Sher. It's Christmas, people!
bill Dec 15th 2006 1:34AM
If you got it, spend! Like they will be together in 20 years to look at the damn thing anyway.

It still shocking to me how with all of the tragedy & sadness that is going on in this country not to mention in Iraq as well with all of our Armed Forces being killed everyday . That this is all the American People have to worry about. Like what someone else is doing with their own money. Maybe its time that the American People should start taking notice just how much money is being spent by our President on a War that isn't even ours to begin with. Talk about feeding & clothing the poor. Well alot of that money that is being spent in Irag could very well be used to take care of all the Poor & Starving people not to mention the people who are really down & out without a jobs , and lets not forget all of the elderly & sick people that have to go with good health insurance because they can't afford it. So Amercia lets get real for once & start looking at our Goverment. Now that is someone who really is at fault when it comes to spending money. That's what I call Money well wasted.

Why do I care again?
Nika Dec 15th 2006 2:08AM
Well, I think it's cute ^_^
Of course he could have donated that money to something a bit more useful... but then I think getting her something that memorable was sweet.. and besides, I'm sure Demi loved it!

who cares! worry about the children who don't have food and shelter in the world who don't even get a morsel of food for Christmas.
Cheryl Dec 15th 2006 2:28AM
This is a very nice present, and I am sure it will be treasured. Just remember, $2500 to them is like $100 or less to the rest of us. How much do you spend on your spouse?
And to one and all to just have to bring up Iraq and/or the starving children throughout the world - Yes we need to think of those issues, but there are people in this world who actually have an open enough mind to be able to think of other things, and be interested in other events that are happening around us.
Spend your 20 hours a day thinking of nothing else if you want, but don't expect everyone to have such tunnel vision that that actually believe nothing else in this world matters. Take a break for a half hour a day, open your eyes, and see other things.
Nika Dec 15th 2006 2:29AM
Come on now.. it was $2,500. I mean, to me.. yes that's alot of money. But you shouldn't be so hard on the celebrities. Some people would take food out of their own children's mouth to just blow that kind of money on something stupid. Besides, he's an actor. $2,500 is pocket change to him and there's no telling how much he may or may not have donated to any kind of charity. I'm not sure it's fair to fuss about what you aren't 100% sure of.

EXCUSE ME, BUT PERHAPS THE BOOK DEALER GAVE THE $ DIRECTLY TO THE SALVATION ARMY TO FEED FAMILIES FOR CHRISTMAS. WHY DONT THE REST OF US MAKE A LITTLE EFFORT TO DO SAME? WOULD IT HURT US TO PUT A LITTLE $ INTO THE SALVATION ARMY TO HELP FEED FAMILIES?
Crystal & Company Dec 15th 2006 2:43AM
I say if you have the cash why not spend it on the person that you love ,after all it's not how much money that it cost ,it is the thought behind the gift I think it's a very unique gift to give to someone that you love ,that will treasure it always.
