New York Penthouse, Estate of the Day

Yesterday's Aspen brick condo, was to my mind, a bit overpriced at $9.9 million but multimillion dollar apartments in New York somehow seem more reasonable. After all, you are in New York. Today's estate is a also a brick condo, a penthouse triplex on the Upper East Side. The six bedroom apartment has been renovated by someone with an eye for color. The apartment has a private elevator landing with a marble gallery. The living room has a wood burning fireplace and there is a wet bar, eat-in kitchen, solarium, library and marble bathrooms. At $8.995 million, it's pricey but seems a bit more reasonable. After the jump, walls the color of raspberry parfait.

The first picture is reminiscent of an elegant parlor for tea, but the rest of the rooms clash, the dining room going as far as to be seen to a style befitting a "Victorian Haunted House".
