Maverick Solo Jet for Speedy Flyers
The people at Maverick Jets say that they are already working on the second generation of personal jets (and we haven't even truly explored the first generation yet). The Maverick Solo Jet is designed to be the world's fastest personal jet. It has a Pratt & Whitney JT-15-5, at 3190 lb of thrust which sends the Solo up to speed of 472 kts. The Solo can also climb faster than other personal jets, nearly 8000 ft/ min.The cabin holds five adults. The Solo isn't cheap, it sells for $1.25 million. Maverick also sells the SmartJet which also holds five. It's a bit slower (250 knots at sea level versus 350, and a slower climb) and sells for $899,000.

Wow!!!! Did I read this correctly? Maverick Jets is going to manufacture jets in China? I also thought I saw on the internet that they signed a deal with China for an order of 3,000 jets. Has anyone ever heard of a general aviation order that large?
