Wow, real estate in Britain is just as crazy as real estate in the United States. Case in point, a boatshed in south Devon
which will be auctioned off with a "guide price" of nearly $500,000 by
Charles Head & Son this week. The shed is currently being used as a boat store and measures a measly 13 feet wide and 80 feet long for just over 1,000 square feet. The reason for the high price is the fact that it is on the water and has a slipway to the tidal Kingsbridge estuary. Still, that's a lot of cash for a tiny wedge of land and a shack without a bathroom.

I wonder why do they need this shed? Why couldn't they find a nicer place for the same price? I'm sure there're a lot of more beautiful places.

I think that for such price they more suitable will not find anything

I guess it's true what they say about location, location, location. I wonder what the listing write-up said...
"Corrugated metal entry gives way to unique four-corner layout with earthy feel..." :-)
