Urinal Sculptures

We love it when designers tackle non-traditional items, reinventing them as functional works of art. For example, Clark Sorensen has created a line of urinal sculptures which remain useful even though he has made them more visually appealing than you would have imagined a urinal could be. Each of the urinals is hand-sculpted from porcelain and is completely unique. They are designed to be plumbed and, as they are made from the same material as commercial toilets, they can easily be substituted. Sorensen has a vision of these pieces in galleries or at any other institution that would embrace such an unusual art installation. Prices range from $6,500 to $9,500 per unit.

I would attach one to the poolhouse so the kids would not be running in and out of the house dripping wet!

I was out in Butte, Montana a few years back and saw a bar called "Pissers Palace." Maybe these would fit there...nah...rofl! These are far too elegant!

I am botheredd by the chrome plumbing...somehow it needs to be incorporated into the sculpture. Do you think it is harder to aim into one of those shells?
Amanda Dec 29th 2006 9:21AM
Somehow, though, I think men will STILL have bad aim.

Elise writes "...but...sadly wasted on men".
My question would be this:
Elise? How many women do *you* know that would want to sit on one of these things to 'tend to nature'?
OUCH!
oh, and HNY everyone!
