or you could get the same effect with a $5 piece of silver and a nail. Scratch in the letters, soak it in hydrogen peroxide and vinaeger to oxidise it and then polish the surface so that only the deep scratched letters stay black. (or use a broken typewriter and a hammer for the "typed look")

This is a great piece, but go to her web site and you will be blown away...very interesting concept - she and we together will be designing my next "right hand" ring and new "wedding bands" when we renew our vows...also, our gay friends are using her to create their "dream" rings to honor their relationship...Neat!
